I just love this stuff! It is good for cleaning so many things other than the obvious...laundry...although I do use it for that as well! I used the Oxi Clean last week mixed with water to scrub down my outdoor composite deck. I kind of mopped it on the deck and then pressure washed it. Over 10 years of moss, dirt and random gunk came off with no trouble at all. I like to use it in my carpet cleaner as well. I would suppose that it's not really recommended by your carpet cleaner manufacturer, they want you to buy their expensive liquid carpet cleaner, but I just make my own concoction using Oxi Clean and never have any trouble with my machine and my carpet come really clean.

***Hi! Thanks for taking the time to read my review. [...] I am honest when I write a review as I depend on other people reviews when I am making a purchase online, so I try to point out all features and benefits of a product, as well as any flaws or negatives.***

I resisted buying this product for years because of the cheesy infomercials. Honestly, can it really be that good? Yes, yes, it can! had some really nasty deodorant stains built up on my shirts and dresses and after watching some tutorials online I decided to cave and give it a try. This product is a miracle and it far exceeded my expectations! My entire weekend was consumed by OxiClean and it's many wonders. I started by soaking 3 shirts, 2 dresses, and 5 sweaters in a tub with 1.5 scoops for 6 hours. Everything came out beautifully so I did another batch and then moved on to the grout in my kitchen. Once that was clean I wandered around my house like a crazy person trying to find other messes to tackle. My rugs are now spotless and my shower curtains and liners are beautiful. This was the best cleaning product I've ever bought. I just wish I had done it sooner.

I'll start by saying I was turned on to pure oxygenated bleach about a year ago. I purchased it from Amazon to clean grout in my bathroom. That stuff was amazing, seriously freaking amazing. So good in fact, I started to use it in the wash for our toddlers clothes and was great there too.

I ran out about a month ago and went to purchase the item again but Amazon decided to make the item an "add on" item. I didn't want to be forced to buy more stuff so I started looking for options and found OxiClean.

Yes, I've heard of OxiClean but always chalked it up as another gimmicky product. After being introduced to oxygenated bleach and finding that this is the main ingredient in OxiClean I decided to purchase the product. The other product was a 2lb tub and the OxiClean is 7.22lbs. The overall price is cheaper and this stuff works just as well as the pure oxygenated bleach.

It's by far the best laundry pre-treatment you can use. I use about half a cup per load for the tough stains and let it sit for about an hour before running the full cycle. My daughter just had a booboo a we had a fair amount of blood on her clothes. The above method removed the stain. Not kinda removed it, it's gone and blood was on multiple items of different materials.

My favorite use is as a carpet cleaner. This stuff is the freaking bomb on carpets! I have toddlers and they're walking destruction. Between the drippy cups, food of every origin, and poop (yea poop, let's just say it was a bad day) this stuff gets it out. I have a spray bottle with this stuff under the sink at all times. A couple of squirts, wait a minute then blot or scrub depending on the stain. When I say scrub I don't mean back breaking scrubbing. This stuff is really that good.

I also use it in our carpet cleaning machine with similar results.

Can you tell I like this stuff?

The best part? It's non toxic! I wouldn't go drinking but it gives me piece of mind.

I hope you enjoyed the rambling review.

This stuff is pretty fantastic! I throw a scoop in with just about every single load! Considering I have 2 very messy children, this has become a staple in my household. I have probably purchased it a good 4-5 times on Amazon now. Tip: If you follow the directions, they tell you to mix the powder in with the washing machine water prior to putting the clothes in. I almost always forget to do this and throw the clothes in right on top of the powder. I do not have any issues and it is much faster. My washing machine is not fancy nor does it have any kind of above average abilities. So, I assume this would work ok for just about everyone else as well.

Here are my quick notes:

PROS:
1. Works well for getting the run-of-the-mill light, daily staining out of clothing.
2. Keeps clothing looking great. Does not take the color out of clothes
3. Works well for both colors and whites.
4. Less messy using powder as opposed to liquid.
5. Works GREAT when used in conjunction with the oxiclean concentrated stain spray for tougher stains.

CONS:
1. Depending on the relative humidity in your house, the powder has a tendency to form clumps. Not a huge deal though since you can easily break the lumps up.
2. The box with interior plastic bag configuration is pretty horrible. I pour the powder into a separate plastic storage container instead.
3. I am removing 1 star because EVERY single time I receive my delivery, there is at least some amount of powder that has escaped the packaging. I only needed a refund/replacement one time (when I lost about half the powder in the shipping box) but Amazon was quick to help me out! The other times I have lost a small amount and I am usually able to recover most of it. This product is in desperate need of better packaging!

I hope this helps!

I used this to clean a brick patio and worked really well! I diluted 8 scoops in 2 gallons of warm water, poured the solution over the brickwork, left for 10 minutes and scrubbed with a stiff brush and a scrubbing brush for stubborn areas.

Oxiclean has saved my A** so many times I cant even remember them all. Whats that? You spilled red wine on your white carpet? Not with Oxiclean you didnt. Oh whats that? You have red wine spilled on your clean white mattress? Not with Oxiclean you didnt. Oh whats that?? You stained your clothes? NOT WITH OXICLEAN. If oxiclean were a religion I would subscribe to it. That is how many times it has saved my ass from pure stained hell. It use it in every wash and when I spill something like red wine I use a little oxiclean mixed with water in a spray bottle, and boom gone. Its magic.

Works great in removing stains on just about everything. Love the Oxi when washing towels that my son, for no reason whatsoever but to make me mad, uses my towels to wash his car, ARGH. But OxiClean Versatile Stain Remover, removes the stains, just like that! Been using this for years, soon as advertised on late night TV, and instantly grabbed it on Amazon when they started selling this. So economical too! So happy I got this.

I love using this stain remover in my wash. It's not a bleach so it can be useful in all loads but I especially like using this in loads that have a smell, such as wet towels that have sat in the hamper or in the boys bathroom. Also, the boys fishing clothes, gym workout gear, and socks come out so clean smelling without having to use a strong smelling flower fabric softener.
I put the load and soap in as any normal load of laundry and then pour a cup of this powder on the clothes at the start. Works wonderfully!
I also recently washed the light fixtures that hang over my stove with this. They have been there for years and had caked on grease from cooking, frying, etc. I took the covers down and put them in a sink of water and used a couple cups of this to let them soak. It worked! The grease loosened and I was able to get these clean. I have since used this with warm water on any hard to clean items to quick start the cleaning process.

This stuff is the best and a must have if you're accident prone or have children. I don't have a lot of luck with this product in removing grease spots, but any other stain it will remove. It's taken dried on tomato sauce stains out (did require a bit of soaking and rubbing), blackberries (with ease), and any other food my toddler has eaten (she wears everything she eats).

OxiClean has been a total miracle cleaner for my house. I use it in every load of laundry and most recently when I steam cleaned my carpet. I used it to clean my carpets because I ran out of my normal carpet shampoo and didn't want to run to the store to get more. I was amazed at how much it brightened my carpets! I dissolved about a half scoop of powder in the machines tank with warm water and then proceeded to clean my carpets as usual. I could tell right away my carpet was cleaner and brighter and when it dried there was zero residue/film left on the carpet fibers. I've now used OxiClean twice to steam clean my carpets and unless they change the formula I won't be buying carpet shampoo again. As a laundry aid, I use the recommended cup sizes depending on the dirtiness of the load of laundry in question. It's been great removing dirt/mud stains out of my boys' dirt bike uniforms, my husbands grease stained work clothes, and on grass stains. I have tried a generic brand and it was more "powdery" than OxiClean and I wasn't confident in its abilities to clean as well. So, in a nutshell, sometimes you can go with a cheaper version, but in my experience this one pays to get the original OxiClean.
