This is the first book in the author's "Hunter" series and although the story has merit - I was able to read it - it stumbles some in the action sequences: Hunter, we're led to believe, is among the best. But the action was pitiful. And the extravagant, over the top, romancing. Please, tone this down and liven up the action and readability is increased considerably. Lastly, plot, this is a good vigilante story. However, the lead character is allegedly among the best and he forgets one very important issue (no spoiler here). Leave it in and correct the failings and get four stars. Correct it and I would be thinking five stars. The story is not up to par with Lee Child and action nowhere near Gregg Hurwitz. It could have been a really good "Justice Thriller". Not terrible for the first of the series, though, so I've already purchased book two and I have fingers crossed for that one.
