My Yorkie won't eat anything. Well, she likes cat food and people food but hates dog food. I have tried all kinds of dry food plus many kinds of wet food including the really high priced gourmet types and she just isn't interested. I had been feeding her Kibbles and Bits for small dogs and she would take a little mouthful and bring it into the living room and set it down then eat the pieces one by one. But only when she was so hungry that she had no choice. I started feeding her people food more and more so she would not walk around hungry all the time. Molly weighed 8 pounds but gained a few pounds since I gave up and started sharing my diner with her, But I worried that she wasn't getting the nutrition she needed so I went looking for a dry dog food that she may like and that was very small. She likes tiny pieces, I chose this one based on reviews and the nutrition in it,

To my absolute delight, Molly loves this food! I can't believe it. I gave her a little handful like it was a treat at first and she gobbled it up. Then I poured a small bowl of the food and, without anything else to lure her into eating, she ate a considerable amount. It wasn't a phase either. She has been eating this food for a while and really likes it. I don't have to lace it with ground beef or cheese or any of things I had to do with her other food (wet or dry). I do still offer her wet food and I have made her some homemade dog food from lean beef and veggies but this Hill's Science Diet food seems to be the magic food that Molly likes, She has no trouble chewing and digesting the food and her stools are firm and "healthy" looking. She is energetic and her coat and eyes shine.

My vet is pleased because my dog was getting a little bit roly poly eating snacks and people food and wasn't getting the proper nutrition. He has given the thumbs up to this food and has told me to throw away the Kibbles and Bits because it's not a quality food. This one is. It is pricier than some others but, to see my dog eat more than just a few pieces and to know she is eating something that is giving her the nutrition she needs is well worth it. Every dog is different and some will eat anything. But for my picky diva, this food is basically the only one she actually likes. I will keep buying it for her and hope she doesn't tire of it. The pieces are really little and crunchy and they must taste god because Molly would starve before she would eat something she doesn't like. For us, this food id a 5+ star product.

The taste is ok (My dog thinks) but I definitely see a difference in my dog. She digests it really well and the stool is very healthy looking since she started eating this (sorry about gross details lol)

This has been wonderful food for my 7.5 year old, 3.5 lb long haired chihuahua.
She made things hard for me her whole life by being picky about her food, even to the point where we had years she would eat canned food.
I purchased this food on a whim with some of the canned food to go with.
The first day I only gave her the kibble and she gobbled it right up.

This food has worked wonders and my dog will happily eat it.
She has only 4 teeth left, but has had no problems with this kibble.

Update 12.30.2017
At 8 years old she had the last of her canines pulled and now just has a couple teeth on the bottom row of her mouth.
She is eating Nutro Ultra senior canned food now.

We love Science Diet still and buy it for our foster kittens when we have them.

If you have a picky eater, I would suggest trying this food :)

This is the best dog food out there. I got a St. Bernard pup 16 years ago from a breeder. He was so tiny (st. Bernard's are NOT tiny even at birth). I took him straight to the vet after paying $800 for him. I would have paid $1800 for him. Anyway he weighed less than a pound and was very malnourished. My vet immediately told me to put him on Science Diet puppy food. He went from less than a pound to 85 pounds in less than a year. Science Diet is the best. It is a whole lot cheaper on amazon subscribe and save than at the vet. If you love your dog you will get this. It's barely $12 but it is worth it.

My 8 year year old 12 pount yorkie/poo has been eating this simular food from the same brand her whole life. I have always got this product from a store ,not to be named, with no issues at all. The day I got this product I fed it to my dog and she threw up like she couldn't digest it. I thought maybe it was a fluke so went and bought some other dog food which she proceeded to eat with no issues until the bag was gone. Once that bag had finished I tried this dog food again thinking the first time was just a bad day and once again my dog threw it all up. It seems to be expanding very big in her stomach and she is unable to digest it. Got a refund and never to buy again

Our dog (yorkie) was recently aquired less than a year ago. He was 3yrs old at the time. His coat was shaggy, teeth in terrible condition, and he was overall lethargic. Apparently they were giving him food that was wayyyy too big for his little mouth and not of the best quality. We believe firmly in "you are what you eat" and this applies to animals as well. It's been only a little over a week since we purchased this dog food and the benefits/results are impressive!! He's more playful, his breath smells better, it doesn't hurt him to chew, his coat is silky and shiny, and his overall disposition has improved!! This is one product we are more than happy to invest in.

If you're still on the fence about purchasing this food because of price read again my review and take this piece of advice into consideration:

Your dog (and your well being too!!) is an investment. If you feel him good food he will be less likely to develop problems as he ages. That means less vet bills!! And you'll have a happier pooch!!!

My cockapoo dog loves this Science Diet dog food. It was reccomended to me by my vet. My dog previously had tummy issues and my vet suspected it was the high protein diet I had my dog on previously with Taste of the Wild Venicin and Biscon. Now my dog has 0 tummy issues on this Science Diet dog food which is such a blessing for my dog and a time and stress saver for me as a dog owner. I've had my dog on this Science Diet food for 6 months and her weight hasn't changed. (My dog is 10 pounds) Highly reccomend for sensitive tummy dogs.

I have a 14 years old small dog, and was on another brand's senior 7+ dry dog foods for 7 years. I lately read some information on internet about chemical ingredient "Menadione Sodium Bisulfite Complex (source of Vitamin K Activity)" added in pet foods, and found that my beloved brand contains Menadione Sodium Bisulfite Complex (source of Vitamin K Activity), I went to the local pet store and check all brands and found only this one meet my requirement. For age 11+, no brown rice (as brown rice contains a lot of arsenic), no Menadione Sodium Bisulfite Complex (source of Vitamin K Activity) and it's for small dog. I compared the price online and found that Amazon price offer the lower price, so I ordered one 4.5 LB bag for a trial first in early August 2014. I'm glad my dog love it, I didn't gradually changed the dog food from old brand because I so concern the chemical ingredient from the old brand. It does not cause any problem after she ate it, no diarrhea, no upset stomach. 4.5 LB bag finished so quick, I placed my 2nd order here on for another 4.5 LB bag in late August 2014, and later I found out the 15.5 LB bag is cheaper than 4.5 LB bag, so I placed another order for the 15.5 LB bag in Nov 2014.

4.5 LB packing has a zip lock, I like this design.
15 LB packing has no zip lock, this is the only thing I am disappointed.

We used this the first year for our Chi she's a pistol. She's healthy and fisty. I liked this because it had all the ingredients she needed for growth, energy, strong bones in a good foundation for her long puppy life.

This is my second bag. I have a small breed adult yorkie and he is super picky with his food... He got tired of the other brand which took him a while to finish.. so I've been searching for new food for him and decided to give this one a try. I feel they are smaller than those "small bites" out there.. these are more of a "mini" bites to me.. which is great because it is easier for my dog to chew. Last time I was at the pet hospital and saw these for sale but more expensive. Super glad to find them on amazon!
