This review is only regarding flavors. So far I've had 3 different ones.

Strawberry: taste like Strawberry Nesquik with milk/water. Great for shakes. Guaranteed yum.

Double Rich Chocolate: Absolutely delicious. Not too sweet or chocolatey. Taste like the perfect chocolate milk. 10/10 would recommend if you're feeling basic.

Cookies N Cream: WOW. This took a couple drinks to get used to. It taste like someone took all 3 packs of Oreos, removed the filling, put it in a blender with water (or milk) and mixed it together. Definitely more of a Cream with a dash Cookie kind of flavor. It's the kind of sweetness that makes your mouth go dry. Don't recommend for fruit/veggie shakes, unless you're into that sort of thing. With thing defined here as something seriously weird and unsettling.

**Purchased this product for my Mother-in-Law (72 years young) when I noticed her eating habits and lack of energy. Decided to meal prep for her and add this to her daily ritual as she is NOT A BIG FAN OF VEGGIES/GREENS. Long story short, after her first bottle she is LOVING THIS PRODUCT. She came over and asked me to order another container and well she's working on her 3rd order now. You can see her glow, her hair even came back in spots she felt she was loosing hair, but she loves the amount of energy she feels given her new eating habits and shakes! :) Hope this product can help you too!**

PROS:
1.) DELICIOUS in both smoothie and shake bottle methods.
2.) Arrived promptly.
3.) DOES NOT have a grainy taste/texture when consuming.

CONS:
........I'll let you know WHEN and IF she complains.....

SUGGESTION FOR OTHERS:
**As with anything else that you would consume, I checked with my Mother-in-Laws doctor prior to ordering her this product. I was only worried based on medications that she takes daily and how some ingredients could have effected her, however she got the GREEN light from her Doctor, and even her doctor notices her health improvement over the month.**

So I did what all good Amazonians would do while shopping for whey protein....I turned to the reviews and once again, they were spot-on when they rated this product high; more specifically, when they rated the rocky road flavor five stars. I'm in my mid-forties and picked up the weights again to get into shape and have been working hard at it. I wanted to supplement my diet with protein as I wasn't getting enough in my regular diet. I blend eight (8) ounces of skim milk with a heaping scoop of powder using my Ninja blender and it turns-out perfectly every single time. In other words, it mixes very well and tastes absolutely delicious. I'm actually disappointed when I finished and wanting another. Great tasting product with a healthy dose of protein. Oh yeah, it doesn't taste sugary and doesn't cause bloating or abdominal discomfort.

This stuff is good, but after a few uses, I have two issues with it:

1) It's a lot sweeter than I thought it would be based on other reviews and the product description - frankly a bit cloying, which too much Stevia can be if it's not tempered with something else. I've tried it a few ways now and have found that it's best when you mix with some tarter frozen fruit in the blender to balance out the flavor, like berries and a little mango with unsweetened almond milk or adding a squeeze of lemon into your green version. I definitely wouldn't add banana to it again though, as it was almost inedible. That said, I tend to like things less sweet, so if you're a person that enjoys higher sugar content and you don't mind Stevia, which can have a mildly bitter aftertaste and can take some trial and error/getting used to if you're new to the world of plant-sourced non-sugar sweeteners, you'll probably be fine with this.

2) The other thing about it is the consistency. After you first blend it, it acts like a smoothie, albeit a chalkier than average one. However, if you're a slow drinker (which I am, especially when there's this much protein involved), the mixture needs to be stirred every 5-10 minutes, otherwise the water content starts to separate and you're left with a gelatinous mound staring back at you from the bottom of your glass like a balled up banana slug, likely due to the chia content of the powder. It's palatable, but not the most eh... how you say... inviting?

Ultimately this stuff is really good quality. I am not vegan but I've been working harder lately to make changes to avoid animal products where possible. This stuff makes you full without feeling heavy and is a solid animal-product-free option for people trying to work more protein into their regimens without contributing to, you know, the ecological demise of human civilization as we know it. That is to say, I'd recommend getting some reusable straws to help even it all out.

There's a few things that I look for when I'm looking at purchasing a new protein.
1. Cost per gram of protein: 5/5 this product is one of the most cost effective protein supplements on the market, inexpensive to fit into your daily regimen .

2. Mixability: 5/5 I HATE when I get lumps in my protein, it's terrible tasting and makes me gag. When I was using this protein I noticed no lumps, even after putting it down for a few minutes.

3.Taste: 5/5 The chocolate flavor is the best out of any protein powders that I've ever tried. Still leaves a little to be desired, but it's really good. Beats all of the competitors in this category.

Great stuff, only a month or so into taking it but I am seeing results!!! I got strawberry banana the first time but this time I got cookies and cream and think it's a lot better but I'm sure it's mainly personal preference. Make sure you get the 2 pound tub to try a flavor until you like it because there's nothing worse than getting 5 pounds of a flavor you don't like. Bottom line is this is the best bang of protein for your buck and you won't be disappointed.

This review is for the French Vanilla Creme flavor ON Gold Standard 100% Whey.

First, Optimum Nutrition has a Gold Standard NATURAL 100% Whey product that comes in Vanilla. I tried that product first, prior to this one. The Natural Whey product, at least in Vanilla flavor, was horrible. I couldn't stand the taste. That was also the first whey protein product I had tried and I almost gave up on it all together, making the assumption that if you didn't go with some sort of chocolate flavor it was probably going to be terrible (I can't eat chocolate).

I decided, after reading some of the reviews on this French Vanilla Creme flavor, to give it a shot. To my surprise, it was great. Opening the can, the smell is delicious. The flavor in all the shakes and smoothies I've tried was a subtle but pleasant presence of vanilla. I even tried mixing it with 8 ounces of straight water, to test the flavor. While that's not the best way to consume it, even that was tolerable and I could probably drink a cup of it in plain water if I had no other option.

My favorite recipe is to mix up a scoop of the French Vanilla Creme whey powder with 8-9 ounces of 1% Milk, 2 tablespoons of Peanut Butter, 1/2 a frozen banana, and a dash of cinnamon. I put all the ingredients into my Ninja blender with a half dozen ice cubes and it comes out tasting like a peanut butter/vanilla milk shake.

If you're looking for a Vanilla flavor whey protein supplement Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard 100% Whey in the French Vanilla Creme flavor is definitely a win!

I’m not a body builder by any means. I work out about three times a week and I use the protein powder for a post work out shake or for a quick breakfast. I’m not on strict diets or anything like that, so my review is from a regular joe who works our mostly to stay in decent shape and stay alive. The protein powder as a shake is pretty delicious. No weird aftertaste like many other powders, and it’s really filling. I’m sure most “pros” know all the tips but for those of you that don’t, it helps if you mix the powder with whatever liquid you prefer, I use soy milk, before adding ice. If you put everything in at the same time the powder gets clumpy. I don’t know why, but that’s been my experience. I use a blender not a shaker. Again, the chocolate malt is what I like and it tastes great.

The protein itself works well and has a lot of protein per scoop. It mixes really nice and smoothe too which is awesome. The flavor though was a little disappointing. The mint is barely present at all and the chocolate is pretty weak. The muscle milk brand mint chocolate was incredible but I moved to this and find myself a little sad. I also have the extreme chocolate flavor and think that one is superior in taste plus it is a lot easier to mix with other things (banana or peanut butter etc).
