Vita Coco has been a long time favorite product that I keep consistently buying it for multiple cases, to the point that my spouse started yelling me to stop ordering it. But hey I cannot since its quality has been very consistent and tastes just like the real coconut. However, I would like to point out that the sugar level is a little bit high so pay attention to how many pouches you drink.

When I shop on Amazon I rely heavily on other people’s honest reviews to help me make the right choice on what to buy and what not to buy. So, in turn, I always make sure to leave my HONEST opinions on products that I review. It is my motto that I try to give as much detail as I can right after I experience the product. If you have any questions for me on something I failed to mention, please ask and I will respond quickly. Please be assured the product has earned the rating I have given.

Bought 2 cases in 2 different occasions. I thought they were ok but not great until a friend came to my house, drank it, and told me it tasted funny. I didn't take it to heart until he bought a case for me from Costo a few weeks later. The same exact product but the ones he got me from costo taste very different. The ones from Costco have a refreshing sweet taste. Now I understand what he meant by the ones from Amazon taste funny -- simpley like cooked sugarcane juice - a little stale but cooked sugarcane juice is not too bad if you don't know how good coconut juice supposed to taste like, right? Anyone of you bought this from Amazon should try to find a bottom from the grocery store or Costco for comparison. If you never had a good one, you won't know what is bad. I was happy with it before I get to tried ones from Costco and that's why I even bought a second case. Now, I have reason to suspect the 2 cases I bought, a month apart between the 2 cases, were both expired or maybe bootlegged. Since we already finished (yuck, how we do it?) from Amazon and threw away the containers, I have no way of know if they were expired or bootlegged (or perhaps not stored properly). I do remember the color of the ones from Amazon being darker than those from Costco although the box and packaging are identical. I don't remember if it's as dark as the picture shown by another reviewer "Tron" but it's definitely darker compare to Costco. I regret not taking his review serviously.

I recently purchased 2x 12 packs of the 11oz Vita Coconut Water (original) and I regret it.

The 11oz packages are made on an entirely different continent than the 16oz & 1L ones.

These are made in Brazil, while the bigger ones are made in Malaysia (where the best young coconuts in the world are harvested).

The 11oz ones taste disgusting and have a yellowish tint to them, while the larger ones are crystal-clear (literally like water) and have a much, much, much sweeter and more pleasant taste (with the same sugar content).

I guess what I'm saying is: stay away from the 11oz packages at all costs. They are cheaper for a reason.

We are regularly getting nasty boxes of coconut water. . Boxes that are very bad .. undrinkable .. examples include yellowed water, broken boxes, heavily worn boxes, signs of mold and one package was so brown and gross we took photos ... we no longer drink directly from the box .. we now pour every box into a glass. . I just poured out 3 boxes of yellow fluid and threw the boxes away .. we are considering it is too too dangerous to continue this
... just tossed out 2 more .. here is a photo. . No this in not ginger ale
..this is creepy

I have been drinking Naked Natural Coconut Water for some time until Amazon ran into some sort of trouble with their inventory of the product and stop selling it. I waited and waited but the problem persisted unresolved for weeks. Then I tried to buy it from a supermarket or grocery store and it is very hard to find, only a few places carry Naked where I live/work.

So I decided to stop waiting and give a try to the competition and that's it, I'm not buying Naked anymore and staying with Vita Coco. I agree with some of the comments saying Vita doesn't taste as close to Coconut water as it should, and I agree with them: This is an improvement over real coconut water, it taste better; if you read my review of Naked, you will understand. I'm not a Coconut Water Tasting Expert if such thing exists, but I grew up drinking coconut water straight from the coconut, and the only thing I didn't like was that bitter/salty after taste, which Vita removed almost completely. This makes it a bit sweeter and in my opinion it is a good thing

Vita's packaging is also easier to drink from, the plastic neck really help to drink it right from the container if you want, no need for straws or having to pour it into a glass. It also carries a better price, they are more honest about what at the end is just coconut water, something readily available in nature, just nicely packaged and more convenient

I remember the fresh coconut water in India and this brand doesn't even come close to tasting like it. Maybe the coconut water in other tropical countries tastes like this, which is not bad. The trouble is that coconut water starts fermenting as soon as the coconut is sliced open. This paper package is better than plastic for preserving the flavor (go figure!). I use the 11oz over a day or two and the 16oz over 2-3 days. After that it begins to ferment at an accelerated pace and tastes like toddy, which is naturally fermented palm or coconut sap water drip. The other brand that comes in a plastic container begins to ferment after 24 hours, which is counter-intuitive. I try not to drink too much of it because my Costa Rican maid tells me that if you overdo it, it reduces blood pressure, perhaps because of the high potassium.

Absolutely love that this is exactly like when I was in Aruba and they would pick the coconuts, slice them in front of you and give you a straw. Some may prefer it chilled. I like it either way, since I was introduced to it in it's pure form and natures tradewinds as it's only coolant. Wonderful, can't wait to order more. Wish they were larger, going to see if they have that. If you are a "coconut nut" like me, you'll LOVE this!

These are sour, have a very artificial nutty flavor and generally taste like coconut powder in water. I highly recommend you don't buy this. I swear by Harmless Coconut Water and I thought I'd take a chance again at VitaCoco because of the cheap price on Amazon. I drank one and I can't stand to open another one. Now I know why they were so cheap at almost 1$ per pack. Spend some more money and enjoy actual coconut water.

Vita Coco Coconut Water is fantastic, not just as a beverage for refreshment. It was recommended by our nurse practitioner when I got weak from exercise in warm weather some time ago. The benefits were instant and amazing. Now, we use it any time of year. My job is physically demanding, and work both outside and indoors. When I begin to feel worn out and achy due to multiple physical conditions, I find that a portion of this coconut water can really revive me. If you've ever had a headache from dehydration, you know how uncomfortable your entire body can feel. We consider coconut water virtually a magic potion, and I'm happy to recommend it to anyone!
