I have been using a Dermawand for over 10 years and bought one for my daughter when she hit her 20s to help her skin routine. Until now, I've loved my Dermawand and it has traveled with me all over the world with no issues. It has been a trusted part of my beauty routine and I am truly bummed out that it seems that the product has been changed since I last purchased one. Other reviewers have stated that if your skin has already started to droop or if you already have deep groves that the Dermawand will not have much affect and to a large degree that is probably true - it's not a miracle worker but it does a fantastic job of revitalizing your skin and helping your beauty serums to penetrate and do their job. I also feel that it has helped with keeping the skin on my face and neck even toned and has definitely helped with fine lines and blemishes. I'm in my mid-50s and I don't have lines around my mouth and eyes and the deep furrow on my brow is almost unnoticeable. I ordered this wand to replace my current version and the frequency on high is so low that it is actually lower than my old Dermawand on low. I don't know if this was just a defective unit or if the Dermawand has been changed but if this is the current status, I'll be looking at another product to replace my old but trusted friend. For those of you who are new to Dermawand, the frequency on high should provide enough stimulation for your skin to feel a noticeable tingle and on low it should be a gentle energy flow.

I bought this from Amazon years ago after watching several infomercials for the device. I had a suspicion that claims about the device were bogus and I was just another sucker who was parted from their money. Imagine my surprise when I actually saw results!

I see the biggest difference in the drooping skin under my eyebrows. As we get older, everything starts to sag--no matter how good our skincare routine is. After treating one eye, the puffy hood of skin above the eyelid is noticeably tightened and the eyebrow is higher/more lifted than the untreated eye. The effect remains for several hours. Cheekbones appear somewhat more defined, and the drooping at the corners of the mouth is a bit improved as well. I also see results around the jawline, but the main problem with my full jowls is caused by being too heavy. There's only just so much improvement you'll get in that area when you're overweight. However, I'll take any improvement I can get.

I don't use the serum that came with this set. I use a lot more pressure than is shown in the tutorial, so I slather on a heavier emollient cream to allow the device to easily glide across the skin. I also use the device at its highest setting around the eyes (setting "9" rather than the recommended setting "1") and I think this gives me more dramatic results.

Here are some disclaimers for those of you expecting miracles:
Nothing is going to miraculously improve the look of your skin if you don't consistently take care of it. I get so tired of people writing negative reviews about devices or makeup after trying it one time and being disappointed that they don't look 20 years younger immediately or that makeup looks dry or crepey on their skin. You can often tell by their comments that they don't religiously care for their skin. I will be 57 this month, but I look like I'm in my early 40's (some say mid- to late-30s) because I have found truly effective skin care lines (Skinn Cosmetics and Baetea serums) and I follow an intense skin care routine--twice a day, every day. (If your skin has a tough, weathered or aged layer or is parched and dry, slathering on ANY makeup product won't hide this.)

Using this device, I don't see a lot of difference in skin texture, but I do see a notable difference in the firmness of the skin--less sagging. The more you use the device, the better the results--the results aren't permanent. When I forget about using it, sagging and puffiness return. Nice looking skin takes commitment.

For me, this device helps fight the sagging and puffiness that naturally occurs as skin ages in ways that good skincare cannot. Since I can't afford regular treatments from an esthetician and wouldn't dream of cosmetic surgery, I'm thrilled to get results with my sagging skin issues from the Dermawand.

(I did not receive any discounts on this product or any compensation for this review. Just got done using it and felt compelled to write a review.)

I see immediate results. I purchased this several years ago. I love the way it lifts my brows and mouth line. I am 63 and feel this helps to keep my skin younger looking.

I am 50 years old and bought myself this for Christmas. The first time i used it, i wasn't too impressed. So then i tried it on the highest setting and fell in love with it!
There is a noticeable tightening around my eyes just from using 3 to 4 times a week.
And the feeling of my skin after using it is so revitalizing that i am definitely addicted!

It's not original! Doesn't have the same power as the one I bought from

I’ve only been using this two weeks and already my skin looks better then it has in years! The big line I had between my eyebrows is almost gone. That said a few helpful tips:

1. They say “3 minutes” but its misleading, actually if you do all of the exercises they suggest it’s a lot longer. I do all of the face exercises for wrinkles (not the ones for blemishes) and it takes me about 25 minutes and I’m doing that twice a day. I am wondering if the negative reviews are from people who only used it for 3-4 minutes. I think it works but you have to be willing and able to invest the time.

2. My order did not come with a DVD just a booklet that didn’t make much sense to me. DermaWand has the video on their website but it was hard to pause and rewind so I found the video on youtube and the first three times I used the DermaWand I watched the video while I used it. The third time after I watched it I made a numbered list of all the exercises and put it in language that made sense to me. I don’t need the video now I just use my list to make sure I remember all the exercises.

I've been using this for three months now, along w/Amlactin, an exfoliant which Walmart & Walgreens carry. My skin feels smoother, cleaner, more vibrant, somewhat tighter, and my pores are definitely smaller across my nose and chin. Recently that area has peeled extensively. It's a drag to use it 2x daily for 12-15 mns. I always lower the setting to 1 before removing or plugging it in, just in case. My neck has been slowest to respond, but then I AM almost 77 years old!
I'm adding this about a month later: I sing & was losing my middle range; using the DWand over my voice box 2x a day seems to have corrected this longtime issue, & over the tendons where carpal tunnel effects the trigger finger twice a day has lessened the pain a lot. Let's hope this doesn't make the price of this gem go up.

I wanted this to work, but it did not. The electric pulse is minimal and so weak it does nothing, even on the highest setting. It does not visibly move the skin at all and there is almost no effect when you place the point of the Dermawand on your skin. It is a waste of time and money.

Didn't work AT ALL. In fact, I think it dried out my skin a little - giving me a few more wrinkles under my eyes. they went away when I stopped using it. (& I was using it with coconut oil).
Aside from that, it just didn't show any improvement. AND - I used it specifically on my neck area, as it's starting to sag & it absolutely nothing for it.

I'm very suspicious of all the positive reviews - as there is NOT ONE before & after pic, showing the improvements. If the product is so great, there would be a ton of before & afters showing how much it improved - but there are NONE.
Even the company's "before & after" aren't really accurate. The lighting is different (I suspect 1 of the before pics has been photo shopped) - and even the main picture of the owner of the company - her before & after pic has 2 different types of lighting (1 before pic with heavy shadowing, which will also accent wrinkles) and her "after" photo with more direct light, which will blind out many wrinkles).

I"m returning mine for a refund.

I'll admit I haven't been religious about using my Derma Wand over the past 15 years..... For the first few months I used it regularly and definitely saw a difference in my skin. But as time went by there were other products promising more easier glory, and my Derma Wand got resigned to the "it works but requires dedication" box.

Now it's my go-to for those occasional zits that develop before a special event. A 45 second zap and that zit-to-be retreats! Just zapped one tonight and realized this is worth sharing! Light bulb moment! Why have I been ignoring this device when I know better! This infuses your skin with vitality. Yes there's an ozone smell but the change to your skin is amazing! I know it works when used (regularly or not so much). This is a keeper which is why I still keep it on hand. Note to self: keep using regularly!
