This review is for the Old Mother Hubbard Mother's Solutions Natural Dog Treats- Tarter Control (there are reviews for the different flavors all together, so I thought I'd specify.)

Nugget sized, oven -baked crunchy dog treats for your dog. Each piece is about 1" x 1" & would be good for medium to large (& XL) dogs. My dogs are 35 & 40 pounds & the treats are a good size for them. I think these treats would be a little too big for tiny or very small dogs, & the treats are not that easy to break (without making a small crumbly mess).

Treats are made in Canada, & the primary ingredients are Whole Wheat Flour, Oatmeal, Wheat Bran. I've attached a picture of the back label to show the treats ingredients. Be aware the main ingredient is wheat flour, just in case your dog has sensitivities to wheat. The package I received has a Nov 2017 expiration so that is good. The bag does not have a zip at the top, so I just make sure to fold over the top of the package a few times & then I use a chip clip to make sure they are closed well to keep them fresh.

This product is wonderful. I see a difference in my dog when they are part of her treat schedule.
She's 13 years old and things can get stiff and sore. When I run out of these things, you see a difference in her movement.

This is my first time ordering these from Amazon.
I opened the bag and I'm so glad I looked down...the entire bag is covered in green dusty mold.
The bag seemed fine, but something happened.
Glad I knew what the treats looked like normally. I could easily see someone feed this to their pet thinking that was the way they are.

Great product. Highly recommended. Check the package before you open.

I will confess, and I don't care about what others think, I love doggie kisses! There is nothing better to lift your spirits, in the absence of your spouse, than a loving and excited kisses from your favorite family member! When my little rescue pup developed "death breath" in response to her need for a specific diet, we tried everything we could find. This is the first thing I've found that works and she enjoys enough to be motivated by the taste to eat them. We use them as treats and on the second day "death breath" ascended to its rightful place. There are finally unabashed smooches anytime we darn well please!

I've had good experiences with the Old Mother Hubbard brand before, and I was looking for something to help with my two dogs' breath throughout the week they would enjoy (i.e. not toothpaste or water additives). The biscuits are simple and a good size. I have one dog that has a tendency to inhale treats as soon as he gets them, and these treats force him to break the treat down into manageable bites. Because he has to slow down to break these treats down, he goes ahead and takes his time with all the bite-size pieces, too. These were a good price online, and I would definitely order these again.

My dogs wolf down greenies in 2 seconds. I find them absolutely useless at providing any dental benefit. I have been buying crunchy dental treats for my cats and wanted to find a similar product for the dogs, I tried giving them the cat treats but they just swallowed them hole, so I got online looking for a crunchy dental treat that would force my dogs to chew them and I found these!

They are perfect for my 5 pound dog. She takes quite a bit of time to chew one up. I get at least a few good chews out of my 12 and 14 pound dogs so I give them 2 each, but a slightly larger treat would be perfect for them.

I'm guessing if you have larger dogs you might need to feed them several of these. I don't recall there being a recommended serving on the label. The bag is a good size for the current price of 7.99 and appears to be a much better deal than the cat treats that I buy. Overall a great product.

My parent's dog eats Sardines and a salad for lunch each and everyday so you can imagine how bad her breath is, but after giving her 2 or 3 of these, she can finally stay in the same room with me without me needing to wear hospital mask!

Bottom line: Yes, they really do work!

Thank you!

Great treats, my Pitt needs weight control snacks and these treats are amazing. He loves them, and they have like sixty calories each, plus they are big, almost thr size of a pinky finger. My pup gets one after doing his business in the yard, and they satisfy him. I am glad I found this product and I will be ordering it again. Also, the bag is large so it lasts a while. A good value and an awesome item for dog owners. Perfect of medium or large breed doggies.

This product comes highly recommended by our vet as a treat that is good for dogs. We always have treats for friends dogs so I want to be able to give them something that is good for them. The price is comparable to the local pet store chains. The tiny sized are perfect for my sister's chihuahuas yet still a good size to give our friend's larger dog a few.

I admit i was worried after reading the reviews. I tried to cancel it but it was too late. Im glad I wasnt able to.
The expiry date is for may 2017.. it is currently march 2016. Long date.
The treats smell fresh like cookies.
My pomeranian is so picky and she loved these treats and was able to chew them with no trouble.
They are made in Canada! Yay!

I dont understand the bad reviews, unless they changed something, but I would easily give these treats 5 stars if not more.

Highly recommended!

I'd give these treats 5 stars if they'd leave out the baking soda and molasses. Tartar control is great but cavities caused by sugar are not. The other ingredients are better what is found in supermarket brands so I give my dog several kinds of Old Mother Hubbard treats. The Tartar Control treats are crunchy and they do seem to help with tartar control. My dog likes them.
