Not very impressed with these flashcards. I don't really care about the paper they're printed on or if they're easy to transport, etc. What I do care about is accuracy, thoroughness, and ease of use. Some of the cards meet these expectations but waaaay too many fail miserably. Super convoluted definitions and in many cases incorrect or misleading info that requires a lot of interpretation. The psych/soc section was the worst offender for this, but it extends into the sciences as well. Why can't they just give images of functional groups instead of describing it? Or perhaps giving the actual equations rather than describing them? "A picture is worth a thousand words" is very appropriate here. Additionally, they aren't very thorough content-wise and miss a lot of high yield topics in all the sections. Disappointed to say the least.

Very good flashcards for the student! Helped me a lot with preparing for the MCATS. It's a good idea to set some time out during regular school hours to review the cards, and make sure you take the prerequisite classes before trying these out or you will be lost. It's truly a lifesaver for me, so I don't have to go online and try to find free resources which can take hours per day, and the data isn't professional.

Buy the Barrons flashcards. These are flimsy paper and a nightmare to transport. The barrons are heavy card stock, coated, hole punched, and come with a ring to keep them together. The content on these are okay but mainly just definitions--not concepts!

I've used this cards a lot throughout my studies. Overall, I'm very happy with them. They cover a lot of information. I wish that some of the cards had diagrams or photos to example concepts (graphs, charts, etc). I've drawn them on myself in some instances. The app is nice to use when you're on the go so you don't have to lug your cards around. The only thing I don't like about the app is that it doesn't save your progress so you go through cards you've done more than once before you get through the whole deck.

The product description is highly inaccurate. There are only 343 cards. Not 1,000 cards as described. Not 2004 pages as described. Cards only cover Biological and Biochemical Foundations. Kaplan MCAT Flashcards + App (Kaplan Test Prep)

Make sure if you are going to buy the test prep texts to match the year(s). I'm not sure if it matters or not if off by a year or two, but it doesn't hurt. Cards filled with useful questions. There are a lot.. so don't expect to burn through them rather fast.

I bought these for my son as we will take the MCAT next August. He tells me these are the best study guides available. Anyway they are very thorough and comprehensive. He can use these flashcards whenever he has free time to study

If someone is willing to go through the cards then I suppose they work - but it's a whole lot you might not be able to cover. Make your own flash cards - it's cheaper and more focused.

Kaplan is amazing, I actually recommend registering for the Test prep course through the Kaplan website. They use these materials and they are amazing!
For all the people that complain that this is a "useless product" they must only be using the flashcards to study for 7 1/2 hour exam. That by itself is unreasonable. These cards are perfect to review the information when you just need a little quick check. Registering through the online Kaplan course gives you the online version that you can check out on your phone, or iPad. The paper cards are great too if you are somewhere where there is no Wi-Fi.
I highly highly highly recommend any One materials for MCAT prep!

I mean their flash cards and a lot of them. If the mcat were a vocab test this would be the best study guide
