As the founder of a startup I think a lot about developing the right company culture.
Culture Decks Decoded analyzes a plethora of culture decks from category-defining technology companies such as Valve, Netflix, Asana and Hubspot. It explores how these companies think about their values, mission, vision, talent attraction and retention, and much more. It provides what I think is a simple, yet effective, formula for instilling a winning culture that reflects the ethos of the team.
I highly recommend this book for any startup founders thinking about how to develop their culture. It's such a key part of scaling a startup, and it's a great help and relief to read such an in-depth analysis of how to achieve this goal effectively.
Is the book larger than what you typically read? Probably. But find a book that operates like a slide share like this one and of course the book is larger in format. This book is , in my opinion a must read for every business. every CEO, and every employee. From Entrepreneur to Corporation it would be a great read to either build a culture or compare your culture to the companies in this book. Even as a consultant to companies I found this book so valuable, that I was able to demonstrate to the CEO a need to clarify the culture and hire based on the new culture. Thank you Bretton for the the inspiration from this book that you so diligently researched. This book is going to be a useful tool in my tool box. Get it, an read it!
