The assembly of this rowing machine was very easy. It takes about half an hour. I was able to do it all by myself up. (I am a 5'4 lady.) All tools are provided and worked fine.
The resistance is smooth and feels like you're really rowing on water. The length of the footplates is adjustable and equipped with foot straps, my husband and I both get the most comfortable experience during work-out by setting it to different hole sites.
The monitor is large and shows every data you need! The man-machine competition mode is so interesting! I love it!
And the whole look of the water rower is fantastic and fit my living room. You can clearly observe the oar's movement when you use it.
Very easy to lift to vertical. Saving a lot of space when in no use.
All in all, it it a great water rowing machine and I highly recommend it!
I am the type of individual who dislikes structured exercise. I need to be "doing something" without knowing I am exercising - a strange thing I know! At first, I was apprehensive about ordering a piece of exercise equipment and having it be a permanent fixture in my home, but once I started rowing, I was very happy I made the purchase. This rowing machine did not disappoint. The sensory is tricked with the sounds, and feeling of paddles cutting through the water - this was nothing less than health-giving and therapeutic. The seat glides quietly, and your feet are securely fastened giving you the confidence to really power through the reps.
I have stop going out for water rowing due to relocation. This rowing machine is a great alternative. I like that it is portable. I can easily store it away when not in use. Im using it for twice a day for half hour each. It keeps my arms trained until next time I can actually go back out again.
It was very easy to build, I exprexcted to take way long longer than what I actually did. Out of all fitness equipment that has a seat, I would rate the conformity of this seat a solid 9. It’s very comfortable but just need a bit more to reach the 10. The product overall is amazing, it very easy to use, very easy workout.
I am happy with the rowing machine, and It has been working well for me. The screen was damaged in the shipping proccess, but the customer service team got right on it. After trouble shooting the problem, they sent me a new screen and it worked perfectly. I was very happy with the whole experance.
Love this machine! Have been using it for about a month, and it's a great workout. Assembly was very easy, had it up and running in 30 minutes. Construction was solid, it doesn't wobble and feels very sturdy. I researched all the different types of rowers and glad I went with a water rower, the sound alone helps make working out much more enjoyable. The display has a lot more functionality than I need, but has all the basics and then some. Overall, very satsified!
Put it together last night by myself in under an hour. Works good so far and got a good workout in this morning. Time will tell how long it will last, but it feels like a pretty solid build. The monitor gives a very different reading than a Concept2 that you will find at the gym (i.e. I tested doing my warm up of 500m in two minutes and it said I only did 217m). I may just need to learn to use it but if you just count strokes or time it works just fine. The swishing of the water is definitely quieter than an air machine, but I would not call it quiet by any means.
I bought this water rower to replace a hydraulic rower (that was horrible) and compared it to a Concept II air rower that I used extensively in the gym. I waited 2-3 weeks after assmbling it before writing this review.
This was one of the most economical water rowing machines - so honestly my expectations were very low. I'm pleased to say that the products well exceeded my expectations.
The product was very easy to assemble. There has been no issue with the water tank, which I feared. The foot supports are very well built and sturdy, which is an issue I saw when evaluating other rowers. It is very quite by comparison to an air rower.
There are a couple of things that can be improved. 1) I was surprised at how loud the movement of the seat is. Perhaps other rowers' seats are loud too, but just couldn't hear it over the sound of the machine itself. I think this is could be a major improvement. 2) The display is pretty basic and limited - especially when compared to the Concept II. I noticed doing my research that many of the rowers in this price range use the same display. So, probably par for the course.
I think this was a very good purchase for the price. With a couple of minor improvements, I would give it 5 stars, but like I said, I'm very pleased with my purchase.
It's a heavy unit, but I managed to push the box upstairs myself. I did the whole assembly alone as well.
The heaviest piece inside the box was the water tank and the metal frame around it. (Thankfully, it was once piece) Was a bit difficult getting it where I wanted it, but once I did the rest of the assembly wasn't very difficult. None of the other pieces were that heavy.
All washers and screws were there as well as a hex wrench and a screwdriver. That's all that was required. Had to squint to see the instructions clearly, but between the pictures and the text as well as the simplicity of the assembly I managed to figure it out with little issue.
Took me about an hour to put it together. Most of that time was spent reading the instructions over and over. I wasn't in a hurry and I wanted to make sure I was doing it right.
The frame of this machine is very sturdy. No cheap metal parts here. Was happy and surprised at that.
The monitor has A LOT of stuff it measures and I haven't figured it all out yet. I'm not sure if that's a plus or a minus. It comes with it's own instruction booklet but I haven't gotten around to reading it yet.
The seat isn't rock hard, but I wouldn't call it soft either. I might put a little pad on top of it for more comfort. It isn't so bad that it's uncomfortable, but it could be a little bit better. I don't know if the seat is completely silent, but you can't hear it above the sound of the water unit when rowing.
The rower itself is smooth and it makes a nice swishing sound as I row. I don't think it's terribly loud and I find it quite soothing. It makes me look forward to using it each day.
If anything should happen to break, the design of the machine should allow easy access to do any replacements.
Again, I'm very happy that the unit is so sturdy. While this may not be the top-of-the-line unit, it's not a cheap piece of junk either. The metal parts are thick and solid and the parts fasten together well. I also like the design. This unit doesn't fold or anything, but you can stand the unit up if you want to save some space. I haven't tried that because I don't need to, so I can't say whether it's a pain to do.
If I had to be nitpicky about it, I'd like a slightly softer seat. That's about it. I'm quite pleased with my purchase, especially since I used $150 of Amazon gift certificates (given to me at Christmas) to offset the cost.
