Hidden agenda inside the packaging.
Reviewed in the United States on March 3, 2020
I’m going to give an honest review on this toy. I don’t review every toy on the market, or every toy my granddaughter gets. However, if you’re a parent or a grandparent trying to buy gifts for kids, and you run across what I did INSIDE the gift, I’d appreciate it if I were warned ahead of time. We chose the Busy B.B., because she was the most modestly dressed of all the L.O.L. dolls, but there is one thing all the dolls have in common. They all have a HOROSCOPE tucked away inside the package. This angered me.
I didn’t appreciate the subtle way the company hid a horoscope inside a doll’s packaging for a little girl to find later. I detest the sneaky way products are influencing our children.
My granddaughter received three of these dolls for her birthday, which meant three horoscopes. When I found them, I removed them before she read them, and I explained to her that we just don’t participate in some things. She’s not old enough to understand, or to know the dangers – and most kids aren’t. That’s why we have to watch out for them. I mean hey, if the company had included a needle inside that was sharp on both ends, and didn’t warn you on the package, you’d want someone to tell you when they found it, right? And you’d certainly want to keep your child from it. There ya go.
Now the dolls themselves seem to be pretty well made. They come with enough accessories to suit a little girl, as well. But parents, please be aware of the way that outsiders are trying to influence your little girls. Even the way they dress the dolls has an impact on the way our girls see themselves, and the way our boys see the girls. Please be aware!
That’s my review on the L.O.L. dolls, and we won’t be buying any more of them.
