I've had my Cricut Explore Air 2 for about 5 months, and I got it in a bundle deal because I live in Puerto Rico and we don't have a Michael's. Anyways my Basic tool set is pretty beat up because I use my machine a lot and I knew I wanted to get a new set just in case I ever break a tool. I wanted a backup, and also I moved recently and in the mess, I lost my tweezers. Hands down my favorite because of the reverse grip feature!!
And since I researched my machine for a year before actually deciding on getting it, I'm pretty meticulous about buying things for my machine. I read a few comments and saw that Nicapa has good quality tools for a more economical price. I really wanted to try it and first I bought the mats.... Very disappointing and my heart hurt because I really wanted them to work out. My local Walmart sells 1 mat for about $15.
Not discouraged, I decided to give it another go with the Basic tool set.
Well, I just got the package 1 hour ago. Ripped it open and pulled out the tweezers. I think I was so hyped for them that they came a bit wonky just to make me sad. All week I've been anxious to get started on a project that I knew would be 10x better with the right tool.
And now I have wonky tweezers. There isn't much tension when gripping them either.
I compared side by side of the original Cricut tools (except the tweezers, cause I lost mines). And I haven't given them a proper go around... it's only been an hour. But as a temporary solution, I would say go for it.
Just not the tweezers. I'm disappointed that they don't touch at the tip.
PD. I just tried opening them to see if they actually grip at least some paper, now they won't close.
if someone is selling just the tweezers, I'll buy it asap.
