I have a 2005 Toyota Tacoma and have learned the hard way that the reputation for easy staining is well-earned. You spill water on these seats and it stains. (Take a look at the 1st photo.)
These covers fit very well on my front seats - not custom, but nicely. On the down side, they are not slippery, which would make it easier than cloth to get in and out and keep them from shifting when you do. They are also not waterproof - they are made of pieces stitched together, so the seams will allow liquid through, although obviously not as much as without them, since it'd just go through the seams. The stretch netting is nothing sexy, but the three pieces are very easy to put on. HOWEVER, if you cannot fit your hands under the seat, you will not be able to use the strap - it's not even a clip-together - one end is bare nylon and the other end is the plastic piece you thread it through.
The material doesn't have perforations like some vinyl or leather, so I'm actually using a beach towel now that it's shorts and tank-top weather so I don't feel all sweaty. (Kinda defeats the purpose of a nice-looking cover, but...)
Anyway, I am glad I got these. They're not perfect, but for the money, they're great, at least for my seats. You can see from the photos what a difference they make.
Oh, I did order the black and grey and these are 100% black, so beware of that. It's okay with me - they match my steering wheel - but I was a little disappointed since I had the idea that the black and grey would look a little more original/custom with my almost entirely grey interior.
