A fast paced action thriller read involving Lauren Pauling, former FBI and private investigator. She is contacted by a prominent attorney to investigate a missing persons case in Belize, central America. Actually it's a homicide and the attorney was an actor. The plot unravels in Belize. Lauren Pauling never gives up on a case, and she almost pays with her life. Enjoyed immensely!
A MAN BUILT FOR JUSTICE. # 12...Dan Ames A firm is requesting Pauling to check out a missing child in Belize. He maybe a connection to Jack Reader, she doubted that. Jack took his responsibility very seriously. A generous check for a month to check it out. Curiosity and a new adventure, so with that, looking forward to going. Wanting Tallon to join her, but he had made commitment to be in Mexico City. That plus the three local guys who won’t leave him alone. The police didn’t want her in Belize, coming home, to find she had been set up, now the question is why did they involved her. Tallon now is questioning it also, coming back to New York. Finding Pauling had been shot twice. He wanted and would get answers . A great plot, it seemed personal when it is directed at either Pauling or Tallon. The plot flowed and once again you are at the end, awaiting the next book and adventure. Given ARC for my voluntary review and my honest opinion
Another great story with all the great characters that have become familiar and exciting in these series. Fast paced and descriptive makes you feel like your there with them. Can’t wait for the next one.
A mysterious client hires Lauren Pauling to find out whether a missing boy in Belize is a love-child of Jack Reacher. Oh my! If you’re thinking that this must be a tangled tale, you’re absolutely right. Just think about these characters: • two goons shot dead as they try to shoot Lauren in New York City • a kid shot in his backpack on Cape Cod • an actor portrays an attorney as his last role • an expert coffee brewer reluctantly recalls her deceased husband • a police chief calls death of a diver shot by a spear gun a drowning • a millionaire divorcee schemes to illegally boost her wealth • a teen computer whiz in Omaha manipulates others to do his bidding Omaha? Land of giant tractors and giant steaks? Yes, Omaha is the special place for a surprise ending. Are you ready for the surprises in Dan Ames tour-de-force? Good. Get it now and get into it. You’ll love it!
A possible link to Jack Reacher is discovered by Lauren Pauling, after a young boy's drowned body is found on the beach. His distraught Mom insists he swam like a shark and hated drugs and booze - so why has Lauren been hired to look into the truth of Peter Gemmot's death - and why won't his mother, Rubi, tell the truth about who her son's father really is? Calling in her one-time partner Michael Tallon, Lauren is keen to see what local police department's Deputy Jalisco has discovered so far - but he just refutes Mrs Gemmot's claim of a cover up, saying Peter's death was merely a tragic accident. What is the truth behind the murders of a growing number of children? Why are they being targeted by an assassin? Who shoots Tallon? What is the link between Evan Austin and David Silver? Who 'stars' in/now has possession of, some stolen sex-tapes? Get your copy of Dan Ames' glorious 12th novel in his The Jack Reacher Cases (none of which should be missed at any cost) today - off you go!
Michael Tallon’s good friend calls but doesn’t leave a message. Just a sound on his phone which sounds like silenced gun shots. Tallon needs to find out what is going on and take care of what needs to be done. Lauren Pauling sold her security company but staying busy by actively reviewing new clientele. When she is invited to attend an event in California to become more familiar with a multi-millionaire and her company’s new client, an attempt is made on her life. At the same time, Michael arrives in Las Vegas to track down what happened to his friend and barely escapes with his life. From here, the non-stop action and suspense keep you reading until the end. The story is of twists and turns, and leaves you wanting more. I definitely recommend this story and all the others in the terrific series.
