Amazon.com: Customer reviews: SOUNDPEATS Bluetooth Headphones IPX8 Sweatproof, Wireless Earbuds with Magnetic Charging Contactor, APTX HD Audio CVC Noise Cancellation, 14 Hours Playtime Bluetooth 5.0, Sports Earphones Built-in Mic
My BeatsX, which had never really worked well, just would not stay powered on anymore, so I started looking for a replacement and found these. It wasn’t easy. There are so many fake reviews by AmazonCustomer and the like, all on the same day... I won’t buy from someone who is trying to trick me! I started busy looking at wireless sets. They looked good at the start, but I started to notice a trend of reduced sound quality and battery life. Looking st wired sets, I started to see reviews showing better sound, but battery life still seemed marginal, always based on a low volume setting (rarely stated clearly) and then... these.
So far, after a few weeks of bike rides of 5-6 hours, I’ve found: - sound quality is excellent, with treble clear and defined and bass surprisingly punchy. I even found some aspects to a song that I’d never noticed before. Much better than the BeatsX. - Connection and pairing are a breeze and i’ve Never yet lost a connection to my phone or watch. Switching Pairing with multiple devices works well, and the nice little voice lets you know status well. BeatsX never could decide what device it was pairing to and lost connections often. - I’ve yet to run low on battery. It outlasted my phone and my watch. Unlike BeatsX, power drain in standby is minimal as far as I can tell. - The magnetic charging cable works well and avoids a port where water can get in like BeatsX. So far, I just love them. We’ll just have to see how long they last or if performance of the battery slips with time, but so far, after daily use, it’s doing great!
I was very surprised at the battery life of these headphones! Since I received it this morning, I've been using it for roughly 4 hours and it's still saying 40% battery when it's connected to my phone! The bass is very prominent and surprisingly solid on such an affordable pricepoint! I definitely recommend this over any brand name earbuds.
I was surprised by the nice packaging the earphones came in. The earphones come with a USB-cable for charging, a sturdy travel case, and many accessoires such as clips and hooks for the earphone cable and different sizes of the ear hook and the round parts that go in your ear. I didn't need to make adjustments; the earphones fitted very comfortably for me already. I kept wearing them all day after receiving them and also the days afterwards. No irritation and probably the most comfortable earphones I have ever tried.
The sound quality of these earphones is impressive. I have never owned very expensive earphones, but the sound is so crisp and full that I discover details in songs I have never heard before. Amazing for such a price! What I also like a lot is that the volume of these earphones can be reduced very far. I have other Bluetooth earphones that I stopped using, because even the lowest volume setting was too loud for me, so I am very happy that these don't have that issue.
The battery life of these earphones is also impressive. I tried to keep track of the hours I have used them continuously, but I lost count. I feel the 13 hours could be very true. The Bluetooth coupling and connection works very smooth and easy and the range is fine too.
I like the look of the earphones too. The ear parts look good and are not too big. The build-in magnet is handy. The neck band is very comfortable. It is slightly long for me, but I have a thin neck, so I think it will fit many people well. The length of the cable between the neckband and the earbuds is just right. The control buttons look good and work well. The only thing that I don't like so much is that the buttons are put on their own unit half way the cable. In my opinion, it would have looked a little better if they were placed on the battery units of the neck band, but that is a matter of taste.
Altogether, I am very happy with my new earphones that have a great sound quality and value.
These are great earbuds! I've owned other Soundpeats earbuds and have never been disappointed with the quality. I lose my earbuds frequently, so never want to spend a lot on a replacement. It is difficult, however, finding good quality sound without breaking the bank. These Engine earbuds offer excellent sound that is rich and full - not tinny or distant-sounding. I love the design of these earbuds also in that it offers a curved, but pliable neck band that helps prevent loss for me. Design of the earbuds also makes it easier for me to immediately identify which is the "left" v. "right" earbud. I tested mic feature with a phone call yesterday and sound was good and blocked out much of the environmental sound for the other caller. Highly recommend these!
I'm very impressed with these headphones. They are comfortable and well made. Although, like many earbuds, there are a variety of different size tips to fit varying ear holes, these have an extra little wing that fit inside the curly part of your ear and greatly assist them to stay in place. I find that many of the individual buds eventually work their way out of my ear canal but these stay put when I am walking and even eating. The act of chewing often causes ear buds to come lose and fall out onto the floor.
The sound is at least as good as any other headphone I have used and, although I'm not an audiophile, considering the cost, I have no problem rating the sound quality as excellent. Pairing is very quick and responsive. Once I turn the power on I immediately hear that it has successfully connected to my phone. The battery seems to hold its charge well: Yesterday, after an hour lunch break spent listening to podcasts, I checked the power and it was still on 100%!
I'm not sure what else to say other than I would definitely recommend these, especially considering the price.
These headphones provide great sound, fantastic battery life, and the weighted cable ensures that the headphones remain securely seated around my neck when working out.
I love the fit of the headphones in my ear. The wings fit securely in the curve of my ear without becoming uncomfortable after long periods of time. The sound is crisp and the tips fit well, canceling out most sound.
As for battery life, I have never run out of battery. Eleven hours is a fantastically long time, great if you want to take a backpacking trip or are traveling long distances without access to power. The only negative to these headphones is that they are pretty large compared to many other headphones but I have never had a real problem with this.
So off the bat, I have to say I wasn't to keen on the design of the longer wire. seemed to look like a medallion when I took it off and let it hang from my neck.
Sound quality is impressive. Decent bass and treble balance. For some reason, when Siri is called by holding down the play button on the headset, the sound quality tends to diminish temporarily until a few seconds after Siri is closed. Noise cancellation could be a bit better - so far it does a good job in muffling the background noise Volume control is kind of all over the place but it's not so off that it affects user experience. By 'all over the place' I mean pressing the button to increase it once seems to raise the volume on the Mac by around 1.2 little rectangles, where one press of the volume up button on the keyboard would increase the volume by 1 rectangle. This is a nitpicky detail and for that reason, I can't even take a star off for volume control. It does what it's supposed to do!
Overall, I'd say that this is a good buy for the level of quality at this price.
First off, yes these look very similar to the Apple earbuds that cost around $150 but for only a fraction of the cost which makes it a bit more bearable if you were to lose them. After using these I can’t for the life of me understand why someone would still buy the Apple earbuds. The sound quality of these are just as good as the Apple earbuds and maybe even a little better. As for fit, they fit just like the wired units you may have gotten with your smartphone. If those fit your ears fine, then these will too. These earbuds have to be the easiest thing to pair with a phone.
My big test for earbuds is during a workout. I found these to stay in pretty good during an hour long workout of weightlifting. These are not noise cancelling earbuds so you will get ambient noise just like the Apple earbuds. For me this is kind of nice. If I’m traveling or on the go and need to be able to hear announcements or people, I prefer these. If I’m out cutting the grass on my tractor I prefer another model of SoundPeats earbuds that reduce ambient noise greatly. The touch controls work well once you get the hang of them. I also like that you can just use one earbud if you want to.
I normally don’t give a 5 star review until I’ve been able to determine the long-term reliability but based on previous earbuds from this manufacturer and the quality of these earbuds, I’m confident that I won’t have any issues with these and is why I'm giving them 5 satrs. And again for the price of one set of Apple earbuds you could buy 3 sets of these and still have money left over. It just doesn’t make sense not to buy these if you’re in the market.
TLDR: Amazing headphones, amazing battery life, amazing sound quality for a $30 pair and better than some I've spent over $100 for, and ABSOLUTELY AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Do yourself a favor and switch to SoundPeats.
Overall quality: For the price, these simply cannot be beat. I've been using SoundPeats for over 2 years now and have stopped trying other brands. They're solid, they're comfortable with all the customization options for the earbuds and the stabilizers, and they're easy to pair and easy to function.
Sound: I've spent far more for far inferior quality, and they improve with every new iteration, and they are constantly coming out with upgraded pairs, but keeping the same price point (within a few dollars). These cannot be beat.
Battery: ALL DAY. Enough said. They literally last all day. I use mine every day, all day, and after a solid day of work, sometimes a workout, and then pairing them to my laptop to watch shows while I cook or clean, they run from about 6am, one hour off for my commute home, then the rest of the day until about 10pm. I do have spare pairs just in case I forget them or I really used them non-stop and they die by about 8pm. The MINIMUM time I've had these in constant use has been 12 hours, and that's on a pair that's 6mths old after daily use the entire time.
Warranty and customer service: First off, 1 year warranty, if you register they'll extend it up to 21mths. So ANYTHING that goes wrong with these short of you breaking them yourself, ANY issue will be dealt with quickly, just text them at the number in their seller profile. I've had 2 pairs out of 10 pairs in 2 years (I'm hard on my earbuds) that had defects. Upon notifying them, they immediately got back to me, replaced the headset ASAP, and took care of all issues. Remember, this is a 1-year warranty, and they stand by it 100%.
Fanboy: Look, I know I'm singing praises here, and it sounds like I'm a fanboy, and I am. I use my headphones ALL day. I've had other long-use headphones that just don't stack up. They die in 10-12 hours. They fall apart. They are easy to pull the cords loose and ruin them. The batteries start losing full charge after only a few weeks. These are literally the best BRAND I've found. They run all day, they are super easy to use when on the move, every pair is water "resistant", but these are Water Proof. Please, give them a try, from someone who almost never takes them out of my ears and has a pair around my neck at all times, you will love them. And if you don't they'll most likely refund your money. Seriously, you cannot lose with these headphones or the customer service team.
I'm normally too lazy to write product reviews but boy do I love these earbuds. I've been hoping for APTx HD earbuds for a while.
1) If you're familiar w/BT compression and care about sound quality then APTx HD is as good as bluetooth gets. 2) These earbuds sound fantastic and the build quaility is great 3) I was on fence about the proprietary charger but have now grown to love how easy it is to simply attach magnetically. No more fumbling around trying to open a tiny micro USB hatch to charge. 4) I like having 2 pairs so one is always charged so bought another pair which means I have 2 chargers too now. Perfect. 5) Fit is incredibly important to sound quality, especially bass, so I continue to use my w/Comply memory foam tips. Much better noise isolation
