The problem with motivation is that it doesn’t last, once we are out of any motivational book or seminar. Thibaut’s book offers a practical solution to long term motivation that helps you get started and keep going, when it comes to taking real world action.
Book is well structured, as it first helps you assess your situation, then build momentum and finally how can you sustain the momentum when the real life challenges comes. As the sub-title suggests, it is really a practical guide with dozens of actionable strategies that can help anyone to buckle up and start designing their life. A very practical motivational book and must read for anyone. Go for it.
I started following the exercises in the very first section and one thing led to another, and I finished a bunch of stuff that had been sitting stagnant! Great tips and tricks. I can highly recommend this book. Thanks Thibaut!
This is the perfect accompaniment to "Master your Emotions". The two books have a type of synergy that is undeniable. This book is not only motivating to read but also helps with figuring out steps and direction. A good read 🙂
The very first thing the book will ask you to do is to complete ONE task, something that will help you to stop procrastinating and gain momentum. I got the book when I was feeling really low, without motivation to start any of my projects, and because of that, I was feeling really bad about myself. But once I decided to complete that one task, I just couldn't stop until I finished the whole thing! A week later, my project is complete, and I am already selling my new product, so this book actually made money, ha! I highly recommend this book!
I love Thibaut's writing style. Brief and succinct, but with enough detail and action steps to encourage action and maximize value for the reader. The book is definitely woth the price if you are going to take action. If you are not taking action then no book of this kind is worth anything to you.
Know this: I always search for constructive criticism when I give 5 stars to something...
I'm only about 50% through the book. I almost gave this 4 stars for one nreason: Thibaut knows the importance of the associations we place on tasks. I kept expecting him to jump in with that, but so far in the book I don't see much about it. Perhaps it is in the second half. Anyway, even without that detail, information inside is extremely important.
I'm a big fan of Meurisse! He continually creates very empowering content. This is another great book in his Mastering series. If you haven't read anything else yet, this is a great place to start. Clear, concise, and filled with great insights that we all need to keep in mind!
