A Rare Quadrilogy with 4 Hits, No Misses
Reviewed in the United States on January 25, 2020
Toy Story was Pixar's first full-length computer-animated movie, starting their remarkable run of hits until they were acquired by The Mouse (Disney) for $7.4 billion in 2006. They honored that debut flick with 3 Toy Story sequels that seemed to just improve with each release, and that have continued to improve with each viewing since.
These are movies your youngest children will watch with delight, your older kids will quote endlessly in a variety of life's situations, and you adults will long appreciate for the retro toys, excellent animation, creative plots, wholesome characters, and multiple layers of meaning and sophistication. Recommended without hesitation!
We bought this boxed set of Blu-ray disks to share the Toy Story series with our young grandchildren, and were not disappointed. They play flawlessly in our inexpensive Blu-ray player. If you want to own physical media for your movies rather than paying a monthly fee to stream them on Disney+ (until they rotate them out of availability and "back into the vault"), I believe that you won't go wrong with this set.
