Hesitant to purchase again.

After using the product and receiving the free bottle and allowing my dog to use it for the two months he became very ill, he only lived another two 1/2 months. He was 14 years old going into his 15 year. He was healthy and activeExcept (arthritis in left hip) and NOW, enlarged heart. But he started having sudden problems with His urine and bowels. After taking him off the treats he started to improve some but his stomach was swollen, and he cried when picked up. Three trips to the vet He went on four scripts, probiotic rebounding for about a month and then to only take a turn for the worse. (This was back and forth from Dec to March) He went from being active with some mobility (reason for purchase~ just age related, so I thought~ to being only able to drink, hand fed to doing his business outside (short distance) or to pad and back to his bed. I’m still in a haze from losing him. X-rays and blood work could not show, disease or cancer, other then the new news of enlarged heart, and his new poor behavior and symptoms. I stopped these treats in late Dec and his diarrhea and urine problem seized but he never recovered. I do not blame the product but I ache to think maybe he couldn’t tolerate something in the product or was Allergic to something in the product. I showed my vet and neither he could confirm or deny the contents but either way, I do regret buying them. I would suggest before buying anything with hemp to confer with a vet on its contents before giving to your senior dogs. I took the remainder of the treats and flushed them. I have two other dogs one 10 and the other 9. Neither was given the treats and both are doing great. I know he was old but he was in overall good health other then pulling his leg when walking and slowing down some. I’m not blaming the hemp treats but just wanting to let others know to just maybe to ask their vet before giving treats to senior dogs especially small breeds-Yorkie.
