Pretty good transmitter

I have the KM-24 with monochrome display, so the KM-29 PRO is a big upgrade for me. I love the color display. The screen is larger (1.8”) and is in landscape orientation as opposed to portrait. One of the nicest features on the KM-29 PRO is the Scan button which automatically finds you a FM radio station that does not broadcast. The short manual uses the term AUTO button, but it is the QS button you want to use as there is not AUTO button. It comes with two USB charging ports - QC3.0 and 5V/2.4A so you can charge your phone or any USB charged device while listening to music or audio books. Playback modes include Bluetooth, USB Flash Drive, microSD Card, and Aux. I really like being able to put multiple folders with all my music on them and the KM-29 PRO just plays through each folder’s music in succession. It also has the ability to fast forward and backwards from one song to the next. You can take calls using this transmitter by pairing it to you phone via Bluetooth for hands-free calling – convenient if you live in a state where it is now illegal to hold your phone to use it while driving. This unit even monitors your car battery voltage level.
There are some things that I don’t like about this FM transmitter, however, that are not an issue with my KM-24. First, there is no ON/OFF button on the KM-29 PRO (KM-24 has one), but this isn’t really a problem for me as my 12 volt plug does not have continuous power, but for those that do, you have to unplug it each time before exiting your car. It has an annoying beep every time you change the volume level. Not sure why. The landscape orientation is nice if you have a large vehicle, but if you have a small car without much space, like me, things will be cramped. Every time I unplug the transmitter and then plug it back in again, I have to remove the USB flash drive and the microSC card and put them back into the unit before it will recognize that they are there.
All in all I really like this unit despite a few things that I find annoying. They aren’t to the point that I would not buy this for someone as a gift, recommend it to other, or to stop using it.
