I got what i paid for!!!
August 17, 2019
Well for the first 8 or 9 days I was happy with the little guy. It did pretty well for a inexpensive little rover.
However about week three he started having issues. I started noticing the floors still had stuff on them, I have dark hardwood flooring and it really shows especially in the sunlight. I would set the little vacuum to cleaning again and it would pick up here and there but it would never get to all areas of the house. I have a ranch one level no carpet or area rugs.
As if that weren't enough I would come home from work only to find the little rover had not returned to his base, which is in a clear unobstructed area easily accessible to the machine. Thus making me search my home for the machine almost daily. Corday as we have come to call it would just stop working and remain wherever ! Sometimes under a dresser, in the kitchen floor, or his favorite place underneath my granddaughters bed.
Thus making me a 60 year old woman to get down on my hands and knees with a broom stick and try and drag it out from under the bed. Its harder than it sounds , because when it dies it does not roll freely, your literally having to pull and tug at It under the bed to get it out from under there.
I am at the point where I need to order parts for the device because the two little feeler brushes don't last long, they are made of a plastic material like straws not of brush material and bend out of shape easily and stick /clump together thus making them useless as a cleaning tool while in this shape.
The out side of the unit Is sleek and you can wipe it down with a damp cloth but when it comes to cleaning the main brush its very complicated even though you can remove it from the machine. The main roller brush is very had to clean, the tool they provide is not what I would recommend , I normally must either get out a pair of scissors or a box cutter. and as for the dust and dirt that gets on the actual brush tips themselves, its almost impossible to clean that plastic brush head. Whatever it touches almost glues itself to the brush head. I have spent hours tiring to get that thing clean because I know that its an important part of the cleaning process of the machine.
To say that I'm disappointed in the little vacuum is to say the least, as I stated before I got wat I paid for. It was my first robot vacuum and it had good reviews so I bit! Hook, Line and Sinker! But if I had to do it over again, knowing what I know now about this machine; I'd have just saved my money and purchased one of the more well known brands .
This piece of household equipment is definitely not worth either the time or the money you will have to spend on it. Save your money for something else. BJW 081719
