I certainly have seen improvements in my little beagle’s scratching. I only gave this a 4 star because it took some creative ways to get Finnegan to take this. So, I wasn’t sure if there was room for improvement there while not taking away the effectiveness of the product. I believe my beagle is actually getting used to the taste though because last night he took it without haveing to hide it in lunch meat. I feel much better going this route than Apoquel route as I am concerned of the RX’s long term affects. (PS, my other dog without skin issues takes this very willingly).
It took a couple days for my dogs to eat the treats (I assume they didn’t like the somewhat flaky texture), but I’ve noticed their coats already shinier and softer. The packaging is nice, the treats don’t smell overwhelming, it was nicely sealed when I received the tub. If your dog is a picky eater, they may not like it; my “garbage guts” were the ones I tested it on, and they’re the ones that enjoyed it. My other 3 still won’t take them.
The dogs didn't like it at first, but after a week they like it now. They haven't stopped scratching but they do scratch less. Their fur seems to be getting less dry. Kind of an oily coat. Hopefully after another week they will stop scratching too.
My pit pup is about 5 months and I give them in the morning as a treat. He seems to like them and doesn't mind the fishy taste. I also have a 10yr old puggle that has no problem eating them. Haven't noticed a huge improvement in their skin issues but their coats are nice and shiny. Would buy more so far.
