An Engaging Suspense
May 26, 2019
Devyn, a university student, who has the talent for a future with the FBI, believes a serial killer’s to blame for two campus deaths. The police disregard her theory, and the killer strikes close to home next time, killing Devyn’s roommate. Devyn will not be deterred. She has her own plan to draw out the criminal.
Ms. McMahill’s use of the deranged killer’s point of view as well as that of Devyn’s passion for catching him put me on the edge of my seat as I turned the pages to see when the two would clash. How could she possibly handle him? Would the police come to her rescue?
I like suspense and enjoyed this one very much. I read it at home, but it’s a quick read and would have kept me engaged on a plane, as a passenger on a car trip, or in a doctor or dentist waiting room. A great read for those who enjoy suspense.
