For me, the more notes added to a single chord the greater the chance my body will breakout in goose bumps. In this three (sometimes less) guitar chord world of simple triads where vocals are buried in a muddied world of electronic, often computer generated, fuzz, the multi-talented Seth McFarlane's velvet voice stands out clear over lush musical arrangements that emphasize luscious harmonies. These songs are special. What a talent! What a CD!
I luv the singing. I have a number of Seth’s albums and have enjoyed each one. He reminds me of a young Frank Sinatra. I also love the fact that he does a lot of old songs. If you dont have any cds by this artist, I strongly recommend that you order at least one and you will be drawn into his singing. Believe me when I say that.
A mature and polished set of songs for adult listeners who enjoy polished performances. This is MacFarlane's most consistent album yet and my personal favorite. Wonderful orchestration throughout and that voice! Can't go wrong here. An instant classic!
If you are familiar with MacFarlane's previous albums, it might be helpful to know that this one is most similar to "No One Ever Tells You"--i.e., it's more on the slow side as compared to the upbeat "In Full Swing."
Now this is music. Seth's voice has never sounded better and the orchestra is perfection. In this frenetic world we live in we really need relaxing, beautiful music and this fits the bill. Great job!!!
