MEH... Needs serious performance modding if you want it to have some range. As stock with new batteries I was shocked at how poorly this shot, both in distance and speed. It’s really bad. Our handheld spring pistol shoots a lot further and with more power. Our kid just had to have it because of Fortnite. It’s also pretty big for an 8 year old. Seems a bit large. It also has that sort of comic book look to it so it won’t be a good candidate for repainting to look real like many other nerf guns are. Save your money unless your kid just won’t take no for an answer like ours did. Spoiled I tell you! The Fortnite gun series are just a cash grab from Nerf. The suppression pistol is bad too and also oversized. We have both. I don’t recommend either one.
So the quality of this product wasn't the problem, it was figuring out how to make it work!!!!! We sent the first one back because the motor wouldn't work and we thought it was broken. Low and behold he got another motorized Nerf gun on his birthday while waiting for the replacement. And IT didn't work either!!!!! After messing with it for 30min and 3 sets of batteries, my husband took out the weird metal prongs that went between the batteries. Amazingly, the motor started working! So please, please, please, add that little step into the instructions!
Bought two of these for my kids and one arrived and was able to shoot. The second had problems with the airpump, and could not out of the barrel. Overall, they jam fairly easy and are very finicky when it comes to loading the magazine.
Wasn’t very pleased with this AR-L Dart Blaster. At first the blaster had a great feel looked great but as soon as we loaded the mag and made an attempt to use it the darts would get stuck. The kids had a hard time knocking the targets it took a while to get the gun going. The adults also had a hard time, the sights were off.
This is a very tricky gun, didn’t work right off the bat. Everything has to be right. Side door closed and bullets locked in place. But other then that my child about cried when he opened this Christmas morning! It works fine now and he loves it!
Nice idea! Not as enjoyable, as there is only one clip available and I looked to order more. It very large, bullets shoot well if you have all things perfect. Takes long to reload and stay in competition.
I am saddened to hear of your experience with the blaster. Please contact our customer service team at your convenience. I am confident we can help! https://consumercare.hasbro.com/en-us. Have a fun day!
This gun could be cool... it's easy to shoot and it holds alot of bullets. HOWEVER, bullets get stuck in the chamber very easily and it drains batteries quickly. My son played with it for 5 minutes and it was a hassle. My younger son loves it because his little hands don't have to pull any crazy levers... but then I am there having to help trouble shoot with the chamber and batteries. lol.
