The Seattle PPD is back in action with Rivalry of Runes. The A team is as egotistically obnoxious as ever. The fae are still a thorn in everyone's side. The chief makes some progress toward not being a total jerk and Sage manages to not whine about the boulder sized chip on her shoulder every other paragraph. The action is fast paced and the nefarious plot is tricky enough to be truly interesting. I can honestly say that I enjoyed book two of this particular portion of the series more than book one. The characters are developing some interesting dynamics and personality and I'm still wondering what the true bad guys are really up to. I guess I'll just have to keep reading to find out.
Savannah Sage and her misfit B team at the Seattle PPD are back in action and once again wherever they go buildings seem to be destroyed and of course they get the blame. This time we see them out to stop a Wizard War and of course we have some sinister evil guy in the background pulling strings to get said war started. What could be his true reason for starting the war that no one wants ?? NOPE Sorry not going to give spoilers. Read it yourself. Well worth it and if you have yet to read the 1st grab that too. That 1 is Fae of Fortune and it starts the perky half elf half mage on her journey in the Seattle PPD
Rivalry of Runes is the second installment into the life and times of Savannah Sage of the Seattle PPD. UNlike other books in this universe, I don’t think that the characters and their interpersonal relationships are as well de loped as they are in other books from the Netherword. Sage is still finding her way. Enjoyed the book. The series has potential and I hope to see it fulfill this potential in future episode. Recommend.
Rivalry of Runes continues the exciting adventures of Savannah Sage as she rushes around Seattle trying to keep the city safe from battling clans and avert disaster before it's too late. I enjoyed the non-stop action and the way Savannah uses her wits and magic to thwart her enemies at every turn. This book is snarky, exciting, and will keep you guessing what Savannah and her team will do next. A must read for everyone.
The second in the Savannah Sage Supernatural thriller series. She works for the Seattle Paranormal Police Department, SPPD for short. Another fun entry into the PPD universe...always action filled and snarky. Gotta love the smart ass, kick ass leader of a misfit "D" team, trying to beat the bad guys, figure out what's going on and who is really behind starting a war between wizard clans.
The authors achieved a nice balance between the paranormal and police action genres. The characters are fun and are gradually being fleshed out as the series develops. I read the first and second books back to back and will most likely look into the authors’ previous series soon.
This second offering in the Seattle PPD series is just as much fun as the first book. Everyone on the team is there and a couple of new ones added. I like the direction the author is taking Savannah and her team. It's exciting, fast paced action and tons of fun. Can't wait for the next book in the series.
More trouble afoot in Seattle. Savannah tries to keep war from breaking out between rival wizard clans. In her usual fashion, things get broken but ...you can read it for yourself. I highly recommend that you do. I can't wait to hear more from this branch of the PPD. Much funny in between issues!
Savanah Sage rocks . She perseveres against great odds with the support and back up of her rag tag team. AII is still a jerk. Titus is less than helpful . A great read, lots of plot twists, snark , action and character growth , Recommended
Impossible assassinations, wizard wars, and a hero whose parents disagree with her career choice...typical day for Sage. Fortunately, she has a team she can rely on, as well as a murderous teddy bear with separation anxiety...if the A-team will get out of her way.
