Cats are awful. Cat apps are better but still not achieving the mission
October 12, 2019
I'm not huge on domesticated animals. If I wanted something to poop/pee on my floor and make the whole place generally stink, I wouldn't have put my mom in that bargain nursing home. To be frank, I think they're vile, useless creatures who have no business living amongst us. Pretty sure I'm talking about pets here and not senile parents, but interpret it as you please.
The one hope I had is that apps like this would finally convince the world to transition to virtual pets, but that hasn't happened. Instead we still have people convinced their pets are little people (they're not and you're an actual crazy person for thinking that), all the poop that comes with them and supposedly cute pictures, and now apps that send you an infinite supply of notifications to feed your idiot virtual pet. I'm failing to see the upside, and even my cat loving daughter found this app needlessly overbearing and generally annoying. Seriously...it's a lot of notifications and even fake cats seem constantly unhappy.
Luckily getting rid of these virtual pets just requires an uninstall, rather than tolerating them for years before unceremoniously digging a hole in the backyard. Come to think of it, that's really the only good part about house pets.....them FINALLY dying.
