2nd purchase of one time payment Office 365

Downloaded the office suite for new Dell Inspiron. Bought this one time payment option a couple of years ago for new Dell Inspiron and all is working fine for that and this purchase for my wife's new Dell went fine. Full functionality of word, excel and outlook. Don't really use the other apps like notepad or publisher. Download went fine w no issues at all. Took about 30 minutes. Bought this option since I really like using outlook for my email. Also don't like paying annual subscription fee so one time payment is my preference. Paid the same price for the software as I would had I purchased the laptop at a big box store. This was easier. This is Office 365 under a different name I would Guess since it 1 time pay and not annual subscription.

Be Aware

I upgraded from a stand-alone 2016 version to 2019, which was very disappointing. This 2019 version does not offer the full upgraded features that 365 offers. It does offer some minor graphical differences (e.g., icons, etc.), but nothing worth the upgrade; in fact, they left out a myriad of new Excel functions offered on 365. This version is 2016 with a few pretty pictures. Buy it if you are going from a version of Office earlier than 2016; otherwise, don't waste your money.

I just bought a the 2019 Microsoft Office Package for my NEW Windows 10 pc. I am extremely disappointed that the download you gave me was only the 2016 version for Windows 8. This is really unacceptable, Amazon! The new 2019 version is for Windows 10. Did you think I would not notice?

Not at all worth the $220 price tag. I recently purchased a new PC for my wife to conduct her online business and figured I might as well upgrade her from the MS Office 2010 I've been using for years. Aside from a few 'neato' functions in Outlook and a more graphic heavy menu bar, I see no benefit to upgrading to this software.

I also had several issues trying to download and install the software. Once you order from Amazon you're given a link to Office.com which will request you set up an account to install your software. Your key will be automatically linked to your Microsoft account , but if you click the "install office" link on the top right of your Office.com webpage it will say your Key "has already been used". The correct link to use is under "my account" then click "subscriptions & services". There you will have a down load link to install your product. This purchase was much more convoluted than it had to be and I regret even buying it.

The Word document program keeps going blank while I'm typing on a document (as if it's thinking) every 5 minutes, and then my Word document appears again.

Does not work with any previous versions of Windows and it is near impossible to buy a version online that is compatible due to this being released. Be careful when purchasing.

Outlook is a nightmare

Software download and installation was pretty straight-forward. Unfortunately, I am having many issues with outlook: problems creating my email signature, problems with icloud integration, and more are appearing almost every day since I have installed it. Compared with Outlook 2010, this version is very disappointing.

Too slow on Mac High Sierra and Horrible VBA implementation!

I've had to rewrite all my macros that involved file paths. They changed the implementation but with no documentation. They wanted to charge me $400 to help me with the very VBA they messed up. Also, some VBA commands simply don't run any more (e.g. Application.Quit)! Finally, there are no toolbars in this version of Office. Only ribbons and a quick Task thingy that is very time-consuming to set up!

Are you aware Microsoft is running a sales campaign telling you NOT to purchase their perpetual licenses? They instead want to move you to O365. Let that sink in, the creators of this product are asking you not to buy it...

This stinks for the people that don't want to pay for something monthly or annually but to be honest, you don't have a choice anymore.

I purchased this to be installed on a computer I do not personally use. The order was registered to my email address. When I tried to download the software on this user's PC, I was prompted to call Microsoft. They wouldn't work with me since the email address associated to the order does not match the PC its intended to be installed on (huh?). They didn't offer a method to correct this. Amazon won't give me my money back. An absolute waste.

We are a small business and purchased two copies for new computers we just purchased running Windows 10. By using the employee's email address to setup the Office.com account the auto discover for their Exchange email would not work in Outlook. With no easy way to actually enter the server info we had to create a dummy account. The entire Microsoft Account tie-in makes things so much harder than necessary. Makes me wish I had just purchased 2016 instead. I get that Microsoft wants everyone to move to 365 and pay them monthly, but why must they make something so simple so complicated.
