4.0 out of 5 starsVery Comfortable and Cool Design. But Not Worth $15.

These socks feel like butter! Cool design and are very comfortable to run in. Not sure how the antimicrobial feature comes into play yet. Technically they aren't "no show" since the heel blister guard sticks out of the back. For the most part I really like them. 4 stars because they definitely are not worth $15, maybe $10. Maybe.
Edited to add that these socks sprung holes in them after only about 4 months of light usage.... These socks are very comfortable and fit very well but the antimicrobial properties seem to be nonexistent as odor was no less than any other regular sock I have had. This was the main property I was looking forward to so a big disappointment.
I typically wear a few of the other brands of running socks, but decided to try these. I bought two pair and I have to say that they are outstanding. I've had them for about a month now and run, walk or bike most everyday. I haven't seen any issues, threading coming loose, or shrinking with wash. When walking or running in them, they help provide a little extra padded bounce in my step, and I'm going to order a few more pair. I've even caught my wife wearing them around the house.
Several great colors to chose from. I use these thicker Balega Silver for my wider Brooks Levitate running/elliptical shoes and I save the thinner Balega Enduro for my Brooks Pure Flow 7. They appear to last long (looking/feeling almost like new after 6 months) but I tend to change my socks every 3-6 months when I buy new pairs of shoes since I run hard and wear out my shoes (and presumably my socks).
I have several pairs of Balega socks. I actually bought these for my wife, but I personally have experience with them. They are my favorite socks. I have thrown out all my other poorly fitting athletic socks and buy these and the hidden comfort ones and that is it when it comes to running, cycling, etc. Buy these socks. They may look expensive, but they last a long time and they are high quality.
Th fit is perfect. I am a women's 8 and need a supportive sock that is soft, breathes, comfortable. I've bought this brand before at the sport stores and this is my 6th pair. I am a fan for life as long as they don't change anything. I originally got charged a ridiculous s/h fee from Fleet. It was more than the price of the socks. I complained and they comp'd the s/h. Good service! Good delivery time.
Socks are expensive but worth it. Love that the socks come in sizes and not one-size-fits all. I have size 4.5 feet and the small fit perfectly. It is snug enough so that it doesn't bunch up in my shoes. I've been having blisters with all the other socks I've been using and I thought it was my shoe. I decided to give this sock try and I can't believe I don't have blisters. It wasn't my shoe. The material is thick, well made and with quality stitching. I ended up buying 3 more pairs. I've been using it for walking on my treadmill. Recommend.
If you’re a runner, or heavy walker, do your feet a favor and purchase true running socks. I learned the hard way that there is a difference. I won’t go back to “basic, inexpensive socks”. My feet are so much happier now that I have multiple sets of these. No, they are not inexpensive, but the return on my investment is so worth it.
These are more pricy by definitely worth it for runners. They are super breathable and light weight but are somehow also supportive and fit like a glove. I normally wear a size 10 shoe, my running shoes are a 9.5 so they are a little more snug, but I got a Medium and it's the perfect fit. I have bought a few other pairs just to run in.
I purchased these socks on a recommendation because I run. I liked them so much that I bought two more pair for my wife who doesn't run. We love them. They hold up well to repeated washing and are definitely the best quality sock you can buy. As someone who is of average income, I understand the pull to buy an entire bag of 'athletic' socks to save money, but try and resist. These are worth the extra cost. You will actually save money in the long run. Heh...'long-run'. That was unintentional.
Training for my 5th marathon and needed new socks. I like the Balega style best because of the tab behind the heel- this prevents any potential blisters. I wore this brand and style for my last marathon earlier this year. Also, the fit of the sock around the toes is comfortable. Sometimes the seams of ill-fitting running socks are thick and rub against my big and little toes.....not these! This particular style has an antimicrobial feature. Personally I cannot tell if these are less stinky than the regular version.
