G Pro hero initial impression and comparison
March 22, 2019
My mionix castor's middle button finally went out on me after 3 years of use. So I changed out to this mouse after hearing about how great it is. The first difference I noticed is the thin cord, small form, and lightweight of the mouse. It takes the form of traditional mice. The main left and right button clicks felt sharp and snappy. The scroll wheel is grippy. The hero sensor is among the best in the market currently. I haven't used it for long periods yet, so not sure if fatigue will be an issue.
Now the things I did not like compared to the mionix is the slippery surface of the mouse, the scroll button is raised and stiff to the press, and the side buttons feel a bit spongy. Additionally it does not feel as comfortable as the mionix Castor and Naos. As someone who utilizes the middle scroll button regularly, this was a game changer for me and thus the main reason why this mouse gets a 3 star rating and why I'm returning it.
