Decent headphones for the price...excellent bass, some design issues

I was wearing this down around my neck in the airport and my bag strap went over the headphone twisting it outward. I heard a crack and saw the attachment point broke. I’m hoping Cowen can give me my money back or send a new pair. I could attempt gluing it, but the construction on these should be metal at the connecting points and then they could handle normal wear and tear.
I bought these in lime green, which looks really nice. The headphones are very comfortable to wear. The sound quality is good, with excellent bass. I like bass-heavy sound, so these are nice. The mids are good. The highs could be a bit crisper, but these aren’t to the point of being muddy.
The ear pads are super comfortable. I wish the headband gripped just a bit tighter for when you lie down, but I suppose that’s a trade off for comfort and not squeezing your head.
The battery life seems closer to 22 hours to me than 30ish as advertised. That is kind of a bummer for me. I will say, I haven’t measured it exactly, so that could be my perception.
The worse part about these is the stinking volume button. As many have said, it’s backwards. Also, it makes no sense that you have to hold it down for volume, and then it shoots up or down rapidly until you let go. If you barely bump the button (which I do when on the monkey bars at the gym with my shoulders or if I tilt sideways lying on my pillow in bed). This design is super irritating - they really need to chain that.
The noise cancellation feature is decent. It works for humming of like an airplane, not for any other outside noise. You just get the amount of canceling from over-ear muffs. This feature is nice on an airplane, but as others have said, you lose a lot of bass when noise cancel is activated.
The case is fantastic, and part of why I wanted over-ear headphones for was for better battery life in blue tooth pair.
Overall these are decent headphones and I use them frequently. Some design flaws that need to be changed for sure!
