I love my Deebot!!
March 16, 2019
I'm really, really glad I bought this, and have recommended it to family and friends!
It won't get the corners (duh, it's round), sometimes it will move rugs and/or get caught up in them, it will go back and forth, round and round between the chair and table legs (tip: pull the chairs far enough away from table). It can't climb stairs, it can't lift or move furniture to clean under or behind, and it can't get in areas where it won't fit (again, duh).
If you had it on auto cleaning mode and when you got home found that it wasn't back at the charging dock, you may spend a minute or two searching for it - only to find that it was tangled up in a string (shoe or cat toy), loose rug, or even beached on the smart weigh scale in the bathroom.
It does make a little bit of a noise, so I pause it when talking on the phone, or turn the TV volume up a notch if it's cleaning close to me.
Sometimes it has a hard time finding it's way back to the charging dock, but that might be because I have a lot of rooms and half-walls that divide areas in my house. I find it helps to turn the switch off & then on again to reset it, or just bring it to the dock.
You can't have electrical cords laying on the floor where it can get caught up in, or pull down whatever the cord is attached to. It's not designed for long pile or shag carpets, and it may get caught up in the long fringe of a rug.
You can program it to start at a specific time each day! I have mine set to run when I'm at work, so the floors are clean when I get home - unless, of course, it got stuck somewhere....
It cleans enough surface dirt, lint, cat fur, and litter scattered outside the box, that I only have to do serious vacuuming once every 4-6 wks!
It cleans under beds and couches (as long as they are higher than the Deebot of course)!
There's a remote, which you need to change the mode to spot cleaning, edge cleaning, and return to the dock. You can set the auto cleaning & pause with the remote or with the buttons on the Deebot.
As soon as you pick it up (there's a handle on top), it will immediately pause until restarted (just touch start button on the unit or remote).

Some days it will hang out in just one or two rooms, another day in other rooms, other times it will go to most rooms. Sometimes it's almost like having a live animal that you want to help guide back to the charging dock by putting you foot in front of it to get it to change directions (for minutes on end....) I know that sounds silly and you may wonder why I don't just pick it up and bring it to the dock, but you wait - you'll find yourself doing it once in a while too!!
The instructions say to have the dock charging area clear of objects 5' in front and 1.6' on either side. However, I have only about 2 feet in front, and after a bit of back & forth, it does find it each time.
I do clean the dust bin and knock the filters after every cleaning. NOTE: Be careful with the 'net filter', which is a fragile nylon netting attached to the dust bin 'door', and on which the Sponge and High Efficiency filters lay on. I managed to pop a corner off one of the sections when I washed the bin for the first time.
As I'm writing this, Deebot has been working very hard in my living and dining room areas; the low battery light is now on and it's been the trying to find it's way to the other room where the dock is. I guess I'll break down, pick it up and place it in front of the dock...
It's not perfect, but boy, being a refurb, it sure it worth the money!!!!
