I liked the idea of this product; but the age recommendation is DANGEROUS! One suggestion is over 3 months. another says 4 months to 8 years!!! Your advertisement poses a real threat to children. Now I must send them back and a cost to me! Unfair! You should refund me a full refund. Oh the scent is more like bubble gum than bananas.
My kids love these Bananas! I have a girl and a boy and they both love to carry these around and put them together as a collection. The fact that the Banana that they live in is a usable part of the toy makes them a much better collection and value than hatchimals or other collectibles we have tried in the past!!
Just when I think I've seen every possible blind bag, my six and eight year olds got these bananas to try. Peeling the banana to find the treasure inside was so stinking cute, and they REALLY smell like bananas. Unlike many blind bags, the "wrapping" is half the fun, and they love to store other little treasures inside the bananas as well!
My 11 year old son with autism enjoyed opening, decorating and attaching these together. He loves blind bags so these were fun. They are also good for developing fine motor skills - peeling the banana, placing tiny stickers on the figures, assembing them. They are slightly scented. My son and I are sensitive to smells but these aren’t overwhelming and the smell seems to dissipate gradually. My son really likes these!
Big hit with the kids! Cute accessories and fun to decorate with the included sticker gems. The banana scented bananas are a nice touch too! Just ordered more of them :) There’s a few more that aren’t pictured, lost in the Christmas mess for now.
My daughter loved opening these, the animals inside are bigger than the hatchimals which is nice, the only thing we found that we didnt like is closing the bananas back up is difficult, you have to line them up perfectly in order for it to close correctly
THESE ARE ADORABLE! I got them for my 2 year old to open while my 5 year old opened her LOL dolls. I got them for the $6, and they were worth it. They had a pleasant smell. To be honest, it wasn’t her favorite gift this Christmas, BUT I think if they weren’t attempting to compete with her new Polly Pcket sets, they would have been more appreciated.
I bought these for a three year old for Christmas.
Pros - she loved opening them, loved that they smelled like bananas, loved matching the stickers to bananas, enjoyed playing with the toys
Cons - So. Many. Tiny. Pieces. There are several tiny pieces that are a pain in the butt to keep up with, and my toddler gets upset when she can’t find a pieces which is often bc they are very easy to lose. Thank goodness she is out of the oral fixation phase or she could not have this toy. I ended up getting a ziploc baggy for these, which I would rather not do. Biggest complaint: the bananas are very difficult to close, big for me and my toddler. And the pieces are hard to open initially as well. But the bananas themselves, are very difficult to close.
These are adorable! We have not opened them yet, as they were ordered for a Christmas gift for our daughter. They smell similar to Fruity Pebbles. Our girls love all things mystery toy, so this will be fun on Christmas morning.
