Amazon.com: Customer reviews: DOG CARE Dog Training Collar - Dog Shock Collar w/3 Training Modes, Beep, Vibration and Shock, 100% Waterproof Training Collar, Up to 1000Ft Remote Range, 0-99 Shock Levels Dog Training Set
I LOVE this collar! I have 2 of them on one remote and use them on my GSD’s. After looking up training with the shock collar we have been extremely successful using these collars and rarely Ever have to use the shock on them. They listen pretty well with just the warning beep. I have used these collars for quite some time now and they are waterproof like they say. One of my German Shepherd’s is like a fish and swims daily in the pool. I love the fact that you can add extra collar receivers to the one remote. And after trying several shock collars this one is by far the easiest to use as far as the remote goes. Pretty straightforward and easy to switch back-and-forth between dogs in an instant! And also has a lock feature so that it cannot be accidentally raised to a different shock level or shock them by accident while in your pocket. And the collars are very adjustable for dogs of any size. I highly recommend this collar to anyone.
Great product! I bought one for a 60lb lab and another for a gift for a 7lb mix. Both do great with it. My lab never has to be shocked. He usually responds only to the vibration mode. (It has 3 modes, beep, vibrate, and shock). I primarily use it to keep him from running off. The 7lb mix barks way too much and it works great for her as well. Both are chargeable, so you don’t have to keep up with buying batteries(like my previous one and that saves money and I don’t have to wait to use it because it’s dead). The controller shows the status of the battery for both. I love that it locks, so if it’s in your pocket it doesn’t accidentally shock the dog. Also, that you can hook up multiple dogs to one controller(I have two labs so this is awesome). Has a good range. Great price, just can’t beat it for everyday use.
Also, they claim you get a free receiver collar if you review this collar - this is true, however it took me about 5 months to receive. They did not reply to me for about 3 months. But I still like this collar and would purchase again
My dog was so disobedient before this collar - he wouldn't listen to any commands, was constantly running away when we tried to train him off-leash, and he would get into little tiffs with other dogs at the park. Someone recommended a training collar at the dog park and I was extremely hesitant to buy one. The term "shock collar" and hurting my pup was the only thing that I kept thinking of. After using this collar, it took a while for Hank to start obeying and getting used to the discipline of the collar. After a couple of months, HE FINALLY STARTED OBEYING! We hardly every have to use the actual "shock" button simply because the second he hears the beeping setting, he immediately stops what he's doing and walks over to us. We don't even really need the collar on him since he now obeys our commands after training with the collar for several months. The collar is not too bulky, the remote is very easy to use, and the battery lasts so long!! We've only really needed to charge both of them once a month and we use it every day! The only thing I would recommend is having a loop on the collar so I can put his tags on it. I have to put two collars on him (the training collar and the collar with his tags) since there is no loop/link for his tags. Fantastic product and I am so happy we bought it!
I have waited a month to post this review and I have had nothing but excellent results with this system! This collar has made training my Mini Aussie a breeze!!! He was having a small problem with listening when it comes to jumping on people walking in, barking and charging at the door opening and coming inside when he’s supposed to, from the backyard. So, for the first time ever I now have a pup with a Training Collar. I found this one on Amazon and it had amazing reviews. It has 3 options, vibrate, noise and then static. It was very affordable. When I was only 1 day in to using it, actually 2 hours in, it was already showing results! Only used the first two options on the lowest setting with the rubber covers on the prongs at first and he was attentive to commands, it’s perfect! No panicking or fear, just an immediately positive response, reinforced with a treat, of course. Highly recommended for home training.
This collar has helped our antsy dog learn so quickly. We attached the rubber parts onto the prongs so it's not so harsh on her and use the beep setting as a warning or signal to come when we call for her. The vibrate setting actually works really well and gets her attention. We haven't had to use the actual shock setting but a couple times and it helps correct her behavior. It's stayed charged for a few days now. We take it off nightly and have the option to charge it if needed. We were testing to see how long it would hold battery. The lock setting on the remote is a really nice feature except it could use a little more security if you have a curious little one like we do. It has a nice range works when she's in the back of our long yard and we're at the door. The collar has a lot of room to grow for size. Our dog fully grown will be about 65-70 lbs and I'm certain it will fit her then.
We bought several of these training Collars and I have to say this one is the best out of all of them! I previously Purchased the most rated collar but my 10 month old puppy would not react to having it. this is a before, which he would cause trouble and tear up everything on a daily basis but now hes a perfect angel.
Remote is set up very well and seems to be built sturdy, no mistaking the sound/buzz/static buttons. You can also lock the remote so you don’t accidentally press the static button. We are working on curbing our Husky’s jumping up and submarining you with her snout. The beep is loud and the vibration is strong. Because of our dog’s thick Siberian Husky coat we did not use the rubber stoppers and the collar has to be tight but not choking. We had to turn the strength up to around 45-50 to give enough of a “hello” what just happened and get her attention. We did not shave a portion of her neck fur as was also recommended for long coat or very fluffy dogs.
Also, I would definitely not leave this on her when not being supervised.
So far so good.. my 8 month German Shepherd pup is very well behaved and trained in all areas expect dealing with other dogs at my apartment. I’ve tried everything, training classes, socializing, spraying water and air, pinch collar and finally gave in to this collar. I was worried this would seem cruel but it’s the only thing getting his attention and stopping him from going at other dogs. It’s very easy to use as well. The vibration and sound options are what I go to most but if he really gets crazy with another dog I will use the shock and he completely stops and comes to me. Loving it so far, tried it on my 7month Australian Shepherd pup as well and she took to it also - will be ordering her one soon! Collar and remote hold a good charge and I find myself having to charge once a week if that. Great product!
Collar works great for our 60ish lb boxer. We try to do positive reinforcement when ever possible, but some behaviors (jumping and barking) needed some positive punishment. We put it on in the morning on the weekends or when we get home in the evenings during the week. Generally waiting until he is being a jerk or doing something we don’t want. It keeps him from barking in our face for attention and jumping up. Generally we say stop, show him the remote, then vibrate. Most of the time when we say stop and show him the remote he stops whatever he is doing. The vibrate doesn’t hurt, but definitely gets his attention and makes him stop. We’ve only used the shock 3 times after vibrating him twice and him continuing to jump up on a family member or on us. We had the shock set at 50 the first time and that was maybe too much (he yelped and ran to another room), so we lowered it to 30 and that works. We both tried it on ourself before we put it on him. He doesn’t love when we take it off or put it on, but it doesn’t seem to bother him at all while he’s wearing it. Keeps its charge well. I love that the remote lets us know how charged it is and that the beep, vibrate, and shock are all different buttons. I also like that we could use it on more then one dog if/when we get another.
We got this as a replacement for a different collar. When I got it it didn’t have many reviews but it was still over a 4 star rating so that was good enough for me. I have a 4 year old border collie/ Great Pyrenees mix who is known to eat poop at the dog park and a 1 1/2 year old Shiba inu who loves to play rough and will chase after leaves and bugs on walks. Both of them have improved greatly since Changing to these collars. They have even started to be able to start learning off-leash walking. They respond better now to voice comands at home and out in a packed dog park. It’s definitely worth it! They can take a beating too! My Shiba is known to play rough and I know many dogs have grabbed on to the collar in hopes of getting him to submitting they are built to take the beating. The first pick is the collar my Shiba uses everyday and the other is from my border collie mix who usually only watches squirrels when he’s not playing with his brother.
