If you are debating between a medium and a large; stick with the medium as the large will not feel like it has structured support. I will buy smaller next time. (Update- Med. green does not either) However, even a bit too big they do stay in place when tried on. The length was fine at average height. On a tall and either thick or muscular built it would be on the shorter side (just cuff and wear as 3/4 length). At a $5 price, I will be buying again. These are fashion, not compression. I bought a dual toned gray black with the gray side inserts in large first... be sure to note which style a reviewer, reviews. They are selling 4 or 5 distinctly different styles under the same name; so do look carefully at the color you click to be sure it actually has the features you want. The medium green that looks like it is the same material as the grey is not. It arrived with a horrid chemical smell; require 3 washings with lots of vinegar to remove the stench. After which, the smell is greatly reduced but still present. The material has no compression and is much thinner; it is cheaper made than Walmart off brand clearance ones that Walmart sells for $4-6. If you pay over $5 for the green you are paying too much...I paid too much. Since I already washed them, I am not returning; had I not, I would.
