We have 3 pair. DH hates his...he wears glasses and they hurt. I love mine...I go to dialysis and always carry one pair with me. The machines are noisy, cell phones are ringing (why can't people learn to use the mute button?) and people are talking. Believe me when I say the noise cancelling feature works great! I use the last pair for watching TV in bed at night.
If you wear glasses you may not like them. I love them!
I haven't used over-the-ear headphones for a long time, because I've been using earbuds, which I preferred for the light weight and convenience (going for walks with over-the-ear headphones doesn't cut it for me). But the problem with earbuds is that I can't find a set that stays in my ear canals, and I'm always having to adjust them. Also, at work, I sit in an area where there's a lot of chatter and noise, and the buds weren't working well enough to block that out.
I would love to have a set of Bose NC headphones, but I can't justify the cost. So I researched the lower tier headphones and was pleasantly surprised at the options. After careful consideration, I chose the Cowin E7. These are the first headphones I've owned with active noise cancellation, and when I tried them, I was astounded at how quiet it got in my work area.
I could still hear people talking, but it was much more subdued than it was with the buds. But the usual low industrial background roar was gone! It was kind of eerie at first, but ultimately welcome! Listening to music was a revelation, as I heard sounds in some recordings that I hadn't heard before! The only reason I gave it four stars for sound quality is that I've heard some high-end headphones, and these don't quite match them, but that's to be expected for the price. But taking that into account, these headphones sound much better than my old Sony headphones that were really good when I bought them many years ago. They really do sound good! For the price, these are a great value, and I highly recommend them.
We bought these “renewed” to be used by our daughter for school. Normally we purchase a cheap set here on Amazon but we realized that they always break or stop working mid way through the school year requiring replacements that also break. This time I decided to get a decent set. Albeit she already has a pair of BEATs Solo3’s those are too expensive for school so decided to grab a set of these Cowin’s After Prime Day’s $33.99 sale and we are tremendously happy. I’m using her words NOT mine. These are more comfortable after wearing for long periods of time over the BEATs and the sound quality is close enough. Batter life is good albeit not as good as BEATs. The microphone is NOT even close but that isn’t a necessary feature for us. The design is OK, not ideal for storage but they are overall a great set of Headphones for $33.99. They synced up with her MacBook Pro, iPad, and iPhone X without any issues.
I previously ordered some MPOW "over ear" headphones. They were horible in every sense of the word. I sent them back and tried these refurbished Cowin E7. So far the are great. I like the sound. I don't have much experience with earphones in general. I went to Best Buy and tried several brands on. My favorite was the Bose 35 II. These are not that type of quality by they aren't $300! I purchased the Cowin because of price. I mostly use them to watch tv. They will also be used on planes and when operating heaving equipment. The blue tooth range seems to be double the MPOW. There is no cracking and popping while in blue tooth mode. I will give them another month or so and determine quality. They are fairly comfortable. So far my biggest complaint would ge that the earcups need to be a little larger. I have to wiggle them some to get them to fit completely over my ears. I have no tried the noise cancelling feature yet.
I really enjoy surrounding myself in sound. And with the Cowin E7 Headphones I'm enjoying the sounds even more. The thunderous deep bass really captures the action sounds I want when I'm enjoying some of my favorite films or the rich nuance it gives listening to any music genre I choose . The active noise canceling feature integrated in this model allows me to capture all the intricate dialogue I sometimes miss, or music sounds that gets interrupted due to outside noises. These headphones were supposed to be for my wife as a gift, but I instead will be gifting her my Sony MDR10RBT headphones!
I bought a set of these (Remanufactured) for my grandaughter who wanted noise cancelling headphones she could use with both her laptop and cellphone. The Bluetooth connection is easy to connect and they also come complete with a wired audio jack connection if needed. By all accounts she is over the moon with these headphones as she has been wearing them practically all week! I tried the noise cancelling function myself and can honestly say that although they are not professional quality, the function works extremely well. These guys are well made, no cheapo materials and appear to be very well put together. I don't expect any issues anytime soon, but even the certified re-manufactured ones I purchased came with 1 year warranty so, I'm happy overall.
I'm not audiophile, just a guy that wants to drown out the world on his daily commute and occasionally do the same with his co-workers. I got this as a refurb and they basically looked brand new. I certainly couldn't tell the difference. The noise-cancelling, even with music off, will drown out loud conversations and train sounds on a heavily packed rush hour train. If your goal is to be able to listen to music with some decent sound and quiet the world around you, this works just fine.
Battery life is pretty amazing. I've had to charge this thing a total of two times since I got it a while ago. I don't listen non-stop, just 20-30 mins here and there during the commute, but that adds up and this headset just keeps on going.
Materials are pretty cheap plastic, but I wasn't expecting much. I was nervous about how they'd hold up in my bag while I bike across town and so far, no issues. I also have a pretty large dome and the headset expands well without feeling like I'm gonna break it. Only comfort issue is that when it is hot on the train, the ear cups and get a little warm on ya.
If you're not interested in really being able to clue in on the drummer's 6" splash cymbal and just wanna commute in piece, then this headset will do it for you.
