This is the second time I've purchased a ProCase for a10" tablet - the first one being a Samsung Tab10. The case is beautifully designed, meticulously crafted and feels wonderful in my hands. The Fire HD 10 fits snug and secure, the top lid closes precisely and holds it position magnetically without extraneous banding or clasps (unlike others I've tried).
There's a bit of heft to this case - ProCase hasn't jumped on the "thin is in" bandwagon - and for me that's part of its appeal. The fact that the tablet face is framed behind leather instead of clipping into a hard shell mitigates the discomfort of holding a less robust case single-handedly while using my Kindle app by keeping my thumb well away from the touch screen. The lightly padded composite leather has a plush feel and reinforces the sense of quality inherent in its construction.
If there is a drawback, it's that the case is not designed for use in free-standing Portrait mode. For me this is a non-issue as I've discovered that the cases that do provide for Portrait use are only capable of that feature in limited situations due to the height of the tablet (tend to fall over unless on a hard surface) and most of my tablet use is while I'm in bed either reading or streaming videos where Landscape mode is my preference anyway.
