This Hallmark story is slightly different, although not much. It is the story of a rich girl whose father loses everything except for a pumpkin farm he bought for her as an investment. She quickly decides to go check it out to see if she can sell it. Somehow the original family who owned it still lives there and runs it. She eventually decides to try to fix the place up to improve the investment. The ending has a slight twist but not much of one.
This movie has a lot of the typical Hallmark touchpoints. There is the rich girl who loses everything ends up in a country situation as a fish out of water. There is the good-looking farm guy who clashes with her at first but eventually warms. There is the odd family situation where the mother has passed away and there is a kid who is being cared for by her father and aunt. There is the side story of the awkward brother who likes someone in town. There is a twist about something unique on the farm that ends up being a money-maker although what it is surprises a bit because there is a second possible candidate that doesn't lead anywhere.
This is a fairly well-done combination of many old themes that comes off well. Most of the characters are likable if not believable. The main character comes across as really shallow and not likable at first but then has a very dramatic change which is hard to believe and becomes quite likable and decent. The two main characters have decent chemistry as a couple. Overall, this is a very watchable film. It leaves you with a good feeling. If you like Hallmark movies, this one is decent. There are not as many fall-themed Hallmark movies as there are for Christmas, so this is a nice addition to the collection.
This movie is funny and heartwarming! One of the best hallmark movies. Myself and my family have seen it at least 10 times! Its great for the start of fall! You will find yourself wanting to watch this even when it not fall ha ha
Another awesome hallmark movie. What I love about hallmark movies is there not full of swearing and sex there good movies for any age and awesome acting and story lines I wiah all hollywood films were as good.
Love the 2 main actors they have talent but Hallmark gives you clean movies but the quality of the stories needs to come up. Hot tea or coffee on a rainy day is a good time to pull open one of these lesser quality movies. I gave it 4 stars due to better story line could help this one to make it better. At least they had better actors in this one
I first saw this movie on the Hallmark channel and instantly loved it! The girl in the star role reminded me so much of my stepdaughter! I found the movie on Amazon and had to buy it! I still love it!!
