Packaging and manuals were non-existent. It does come with a serial number so it is eligible for warranty service. Works perfectly though and is repairable if necessary - unlike the WFCO models. That is according to the WFCO tech.
Its seems to be a great unit so far, I've had it installed for over a month now with no problems. The stock unit struggled to keep up under load, ( it was only a 60 amp), this one seems a lot stronger and was 1/4 the price of the original!
