The TuaTara Magic Ring makes this case so functional. BUT FRAGILE

Update: March 2018 - I went to a conference over the weekend and was just chatting with my friends and one of them, who had better eyesight than me, pointed out a crack where the ring attaches to the base, then we found that it actually had two bad cracks. The ring still feels tight, but it looks like it will break off soon. I do recall pulling it off my desk one time which was just a 30 inch drop to the floor.
Original Review: (Purchased Nov. 2017) (originally 5 star review) I loved this product from the moment I installed my Fire HD8 into it. The first case I bought was super thin and only had two standing up options; horizontal at only one non adjustable angle, or vertical at only one non adjustable angle. And when you had that case open, the camera lens was blocked. This Fintie Case with the TuaTara Magic Ring is fully adjustable to any angle, both horizontal or vertical. The ring can block the camera lens, but that would in probably be less than 5% of it's operating range when the ring is extended as a carry handle. The product seems to be pretty rugged and it only took a couple of minutes to do the installation. It is quite a bit thicker than my first case (.625"), but that makes it easier for me to hold on to. The Magic Ring adds even more to the thickness for a total of 1.125 inches. The Magic Ring doubles as a carry handle. ---- One word of caution: This case may appear to be waterproof, but it is not. The speakers and both camera lenses are not covered. I was just now cleaning the screen, and while spraying eyeglass cleaner on it, I realized that if I spray it on the front facing lens that the cleaner would probably wick in between the screen and the screen protector. I would have had to disassemble the case to clean up the mess inside.
