Good Price with Caveats
July 21, 2019
I bought a V5s for my parents' house and was satisfied by how fast it cleans the rooms. I decided to give V8 a go but was quite satisfied. Compared to V5s It has several upgrades:
- Better battery capacity
- Stronger suction
- Larger bin
However, it also has several caveats that I didn't encounter when using the V5s pro:
-You have to clear your floor of rugs and cables because the vacuum will end up trapped in one of those things. I didn't have any trouble with V5s
-Dust accumulation on the suction mouth, only a handful will go inside the bin
-I'm not sure if it's isolated to my unit, hairs will always end up tangled on the left sweeper.
-Will wander aimlessly, no way to control which area to clean.
-Remote looks cheap.
There might be other vacuums with more features at its current price point (200-ish dollar), but I believe it has better suction power compared with others.
