4.0 out of 5 starsVery Comfortable and Cool Design. But Not Worth $15.

These socks feel like butter! Cool design and are very comfortable to run in. Not sure how the antimicrobial feature comes into play yet. Technically they aren't "no show" since the heel blister guard sticks out of the back. For the most part I really like them. 4 stars because they definitely are not worth $15, maybe $10. Maybe.
So I purchased a bunch of socks like these for high quality workout socks. I researched a bunch of ratings lists for running socks and these came up on all of them. I bought the size suggested and HATED them as they squeezed the crap out of my toes. I really don't like the sensation of squeezed toes. I gave them to my wife (who has significantly smaller feet than I do) and they fit her well. I then ordered the biggest size and they're much better. My feet are about 11, the L was good for my wife and her size 7, and the XL were fine for me.
Edited to add that these socks sprung holes in them after only about 4 months of light usage.... These socks are very comfortable and fit very well but the antimicrobial properties seem to be nonexistent as odor was no less than any other regular sock I have had. This was the main property I was looking forward to so a big disappointment.
I'm so disappointed in these socks. I can't believe how the insides look, there are long, loose threads everywhere and a ton came out in the wash. I hate, hate, hate having loose threads inside socks which these have in abundance. There are much, much, much better socks for the price if you're looking for running/exercise specific socks. There are actually much better socks that are significantly cheaper than these. I can't speak to the odor control, as I couldn't stand to wear them for any length of time. Also, they immediately fall down inside of your shoes and you have to pull the tab up constantly. Into the trash they go, a total waste of money. Will stick with my normal Feetures and Smartwool socks from now on.
Opened the package threw them in the wash. Pulled them out of the dryer (pic). This is not my first pair of Balega socks. Hidden comfort is my favorite. Over all I have 12 pairs of there socks. I give them all 5 stars. The oldest one I have are 4 years old and still look new. Belega socks are my everyday socks. This is first sock I've seen with a defect. I am rather curious to see how long they will last.
Update (1 hour later)
I got out of the gym and put my socks on found the other sock had a run from toe to heal. It wouldn't have been a big deal but I could feel it on my foot and with in 10 had to remove them.
Cute as can be. I wear a 9.5 Womens and the size Medium socks were too small. The Large socks fit just right. I was expecting these to help keep my feet dry during a 2 mile walk on the treadmill at the gym. Alas, my feet were as soaked as could be when I peeled the sock off. I was disappointed because for the price, I expected the socks to help whisk away the moisture. My 6 pack Adidas socks for $7 do a better job of keeping my feet dry.
This "compression" sock was not strong in applying pressure and compression to my feet. The socks applied compression equivalent to wearing a white sports sock. Returned to Amazon and received a full refund. The Balega Amazon ad was very misleading and false as to the amount of compression these socks produce. Do not waste your money on the Balega so called compression socks.
These socks are soft and comfortable without smell but at this price I am shocked to see how poorly they held up after just one use, the bottoms are already frayed. Hardly worth anyone's money. UPDATE: Upon second day of use (after one wash) a hole developed under the big toe of one sock. Completely and utterly dissapointed in the quality of these socks. Will attempt a return.
I have a few older pairs of Balega socks so I have a higher expectation for them. I should have listened to the reviews that they fall apart quickly but I didn't. Got them, they're very comfortable. I wore them to an overnight ER shift. The antimicrobial was great, no foot odor. Washed them once and they started fraying right away. I'm returning them and very disappointed, I wanted these to work.
I never leave reviews, but I felt it was necessary for a $15 pair of socks that I'm shockingly disappointed in.
These are insanely comfortable and I wore them on a 7 mile run yesterday with no issue. However, like many of the other negative reviews, mine are already disintegrating and I haven't even washed them yet. If the quality control was better I'd buy a box of these socks, but I'm worried that I won't get much longevity out of them due to them already fraying out. At this rate they'll fall apart before the week is out.
Comfort and workout wise? They're solid. But unless you plan on replacing these every week, you're better off with another selection.
I looked at the chart and ordered the suggested size for a woman’s 6.5/7 the sock is huge. I tried to make it work, but got blisters. So disappointed as I’ve read a lot of good things about this, but the fit was so off
First day with these socks and they appear to be falling apart already. I wore these socks for a 30 min workout in sneakers and then again for about 45 mins, partially in sneakers partially on carpet. They are already coming undone at the seams. I have two pair of solid grey Balegas that are two years old and haven’t worn at all. I just purchased these with 2 other colored pairs and am afraid they are all going to wear this quickly. Maybe solid grey was the best bet. Disappointed to say the least.
