I bought this screen protector mostly to keep from getting the screen messed up with finger prints. It's okay, but I can't seem to get all the bubbles out of it. They don't interfere with reading or games, but it's an annoyance to me because I'm too picky. But it does what I wanted it to do and keeps the screen clean
Don't waste your money. Buy a tempered glass ones instead. I followed the directions to the letter. Wore rubber gloves and applied to an extremely clean screen. The problem is that these are plastic and the protective film induces static when you remove it. This of course attracts ANY particles in the air. Besides that the edges don't lay down.
This is not the quality I have come to expect from Amazon. The size is too close to the actual dimensions of screen so is difficult to place it correctly and the edges will stick out and do not adhere to screen. Short edge peel application is awkward. The screen itself appears hazy and dull. Touch screen stylus pens drag on this surface. I do not like this product.
Went on easily. Fit well. Shows fingerprints and they are tough to remove. The glare on the screen is really bad and with the fingerprints and smudges this cover makes it very hard to read the screen. The description says it's clear, but even brand new not yet touched by fingers there was a "haze" on the screen that worsened with every touch. I've had it on my new kindle less then 5 days and I am removing and replacing with another product. I've never had to do that before with any of our devices.
You would think that these would be more durable. We got two of these for our little ones for Christmas. The Kindle fire with free time bundle cases are hard to put on and caused the screen protector to crack instantly.
Good product (not anti-glare though) once installed (which is a story in and of itself because of how precise the protector must be placed with little guidance on how to do so), but DO NOT use the "dust strips" provided. I cleaned my brand new Kindle Fire screen as instructed, then went to use the provided strips to pick up any remaining dust, as instructed. This is where it all went wrong... imagine an adhesive so strong on the sticker that it stuck to the screen by barely touching it. Pulling the strip gently away was not good enough as it left small portions of the sticker on the screen. My new screen. The one I was trying to protect. I had to carefully and painstakingly clean the screen now of the adhesive residue and then start the process over. This time, I used plain tape with no issue to remove any residual dust. Learn from my mistake, just say no to cheap dust stickers.
Usually impressed with bundle offers from Amazon, this is one I should have avoided.
Ruined both protectors installing. Couldn't get it to line up well up top so the first one was ruined because the lower left side wouldn't smooth out cause I was a half mm over the bezel and it got ruined while trying to remove and re position. On the second one dust accumulated on the screen from static electricity and got on the protector while I was trying to precisely move it into the right place. I get trying to protect 100% of the screen but most companies allow at least a mm of wiggle room. Waste of money.
Maybe I’m just bad at these, but the first try left a bubble around the edge where I couldn’t fix it, and the second try got a crease in it while I was repositioning it, so I had to pitch them both. They’re very slightly too large, in my opinion, and they come with no guides or fitting tools.
I had cleaned the screen with my glasses soft cloth first and started to install it, then discovered the cloth provided and used on the 2nd half of the screen where it left lint that caused air bubbles. Wish I had never seen the provided cloth, as my original cloth didn't leave lint and air bubbles. Grrr...... As far as protecting the screen so far no breakage!!!!!
The hole punched for the camera lens had been misplaced, off center. A second hole was punched, leaving two holes in the screen. I purchased this to put on a Kids Fire Tablet, but the blue protective holder for the Fire peeled back the protector screen when I tried to put it back on after positioning the screen. I had to cut the edges of the clear screen to size it down for use on the Kids Fire tablet.
Didn't quite fit the screen. I used up two of the three that came in the pack trying to get it on right. It didn't line up quite right so no matter what you did some of the screen was exposed. I ended up springing for a more expensive custom one, as I use my kindle for reading and I needed a good quality screen with some protection especially at the corners. I a bit clumsy and I drop things.
