I had a suspicion early on that this film was coming from a creationists perspective. Which is fine. I wanted to watch it with an open mind. I'm not a strict materialist, in the sense that I have completely eliminated the possibility of an "intelligence" or "spirit" ( there has to be a better term for this concept that is not so 'loaded'). But I certainly do not believe in any christian notion of a sentient being living both outside and whithin our plane of existence judging how we live our lives. So, I was hoping to see some arguments supporting their notion of intelligent design. And what this "intelligence" is. There were none. This film is only halfway done. If you assume the science in this film is correct, (a big assumption) it does a nice job of refuting some of the other theories of the origins of life. But it does nothing to prove its theory of intelligence other than to say, "It's so complicated and it all works so nicely together it must have been intelligently created." That's not enough. Give me proof. Give me your theories on this 'intelligence'. Where does it originate from? How does interact with matter and energy etc.. Good start, but not enough.
