Fractured Fairy Tale
December 2, 2017
Ella is an unmarried thirty-something, running a business and taking care of her widower father while planning his wedding to the formidable Myra when she finds herself suddenly in the midst of a fairy tale gambit. Before she knows it she's up to her eyeballs in dwarves disguised as garden gnomes, wisecracking wolves, gun-toting grandmas, agreeable ogres, European gangsters, less-than-helpful Disney-style bluebirds and a deranged fairy godmother determined to deliver a happy ending no matter what.
What a fun read this was. The plot clips along from one fractured fairy tale setting to another, while clever and witty dialogue guarantees smiles on every page. It's a laugh-out-loud page turner, and I can't wait to check out more by these authors. Four and a half stars.
