Started my Skipperkey Pom on these mid April. Followed the directions to the tee. I took a black sharpie and wrote down my start date and how long she had to be double dosed and the date at which I can start single dosing her on the lid worked out great as a visual reminder. Now to the great part she loves the taste of these little treats. Within about a week and a half I already saw a difference before starting these she couldn't run very well and if she did the result was her legs not being very useful the rest of the day. Her back legs before starting these would fall out from underneath her periodically. My poor little girl was feeling like a 15-year-old at the age of 10 she loved to run and jump in her younger days now because of these treats she can act like a little puppy she wants to be.
Bought this product mainly because it has the most Chondroitin for the best price. My dog is about 10 years old and was becoming less active. Someone suggested chondroitin for dogs so we look for products with the most chondroitin among the other ingredients. My dog seems to like it. And she's back to her active self again!
Omg German Shepherd loves these.I give him these with a couple milk bone I break in half . He thinks there a snack. He will be 8 in 3 weeks and his hind leg is getting bad with soreness and slow rising. He had stopped sleeping in bed with me and moved to floor. He got back his spring and puppy attitude after a week on these.Everyday he seems more playful ,wants to go outside for walks, jumping again for a ball.He had stopped all activities due to pain.Im glad these are working.very happy
We’ve bought at least 3 jars of these so far and we love them! We have a 10 year old 85lbs German Shepherd with hip dysplasia. When we first rescued him he could hardly walk, falling every few steps. Within a week on these he was doing so much better! He’s been on them for over a year. He’s not in pain anymore and gets around great! He doesn’t like to eat them anymore, like he did at first, so we just break them up into his food two in the morning, two in the evening and he feels good all day. I have searched and bought several different brands this is the best buy. They work great and it’s a great price for the amount of vitamins and the amount of ingredients in each vitamin. We will definitely continue to buy this brand!
I bought this for my 11 year old male (slightly overweight) American Eskimo dog. He had lost his energy and was unhappy. He would lay with his head down and eyes out. Our vet suggested it might help with glucosamine. So we bought this chews. As I would give the every night I decided to give it to my female AE dog. She had been back and forth to 2 vet clinics both with X-rays having a knee cruciate ligament injury. She had it over a year and a half and would skip or hop on the back leg. The vet said that the surgery doesn’t work all the time and costs several thousand dollars. She had told me to just let her try on her own to let her body would heal it and we could revisit it at her yearl exam in Nov.
I started to giving her the chews also, only because she was so jealous that he got a treat. (They love them). They have had them for a month and a half or so.... my first bottle is gone and I am ordering more. My husband and I were so surprised and overjoyed to find Nanook JUMPING WITH EXCITEMENT LIKE A PUP AGAIN. He feels so much better, is happy wirpth life again like a younger dog! But what really shocked me was my female AE, Penny, is no longer skipping or hopping with her hind leg they said was Anterior Crucuiate ligament in her knee. She runs and plays like a pup again. Nanook tries to keep up with her, which hasn’t happened for years! I gave this product 5 stars because the strength of the ingredients is higher than the lesser price. I am very thankful my vet told me about this product!
This is the third brand that I have tried and the only one that my dog will actually eat as a treat!
After noticing my dog limping slightly after standing up, I started her on glucosamine thinking it might be her joints. Her limp did get better, but when it started to come back a two months later I took her to the vet who confirmed that it was the onset of arthritis, gave me some pain killers and I started my girl on a new brand of gluc. (Paws & Pals). I gave her pain meds for a couple of days but really don't like the idea of giving her prescribed medication, so stopped and am holding on to the pills. She's been taking the Paws & Pals Glucosamine chews for about a month and I'm getting ready to order a second bottle for her. Her limp has decreased noticeably which I'm obviously thrilled about, and it helps that they obviously taste good enough to be used as a snack! Great product, and has my dog's bark of approval from a taste and ingredient point of view!
I was prompted to write this review by Paws and Pals in return for a trial of one of their other products however the rating and review have in no way been influenced by that--this is a great product and I'll be purchasing more soon!
I have been giving it to my baby Rose for two weeks now and I have seen an improvement in her getting around. She has even taken to getting out of bed and guarding the fence as she did when she was younger, she only weights 182 Lbs. now, at one time she weighed 190, oh by the way she is an English Mastiff.
I have a ten year old corgi. When I first adopted her at age three, she was severely overweight (54lbs!) and despite a diligent exercise and diet regimen, she still is on the heavy side for a corgi. Her breed already is prone to arthritis and other joint issues due to their short legs, and her large size makes her even more susceptible to these problems. It was no surprise when, around age nine, she started to slow down a bit. I came across this supplement and, given the great reviews, decided to give it a shot. Between taking her on walks on flatter surfaces, avoiding stairs, and having her on this supplement, her mobility has markedly improved! She never seems to be in any pain and despite my discouragement from her doing so, she can even leap onto the bed or the couch with very little difficulty. And she absolutely loves the taste... she thinks she's getting cookies before bed! The value is excellent. She gets three a day meaning one of these bottles lasts us over two months. Overall, I absolutely recommend these to any dog owner, particularly those owners with aging dogs.
I have (2) older Yorkies. And, they're related (Father / Son). Both are over 12-years old. Over the past year or so, they both have shown signs of tenderness in the left rear leg. My vet tells me it's not uncommon for older Yorkies to have knee and joint issues. So, knowing that this kind of supplement helps ME (yeah, I'm older too....), I decided to give it a try for my boyz. It's been a few weeks, and; they seem to be less in pain after sitting for any length of time, and; both are not seeming to suffer from the cold when we're out. So, I "think" it is working. For sure, I can say, they like these. As far as they are concerned, they are TREATs. Something that makes it EASY to deliver the medicine to them with. So, I'm going to keep this going - it's only been a while. We'll see how they fare! ;O)
My very picky dog will eat these when crumbled and mixed into his food. He had a back issue that seems to have gone away, although I can't say for sure that it was this product. I doubled up on the dosage for a couple weeks as suggested, and now give him the one per day suggested for his body weight. As a senior dog I feel like I'm doing him a favor by providing these supplements as a preventative.
