Compact, powerful 18 Ah unit.

Haven't needed to use this portable jump starter for a real emergency yet... but I tested the emergency battery jump starter on my 8 cyl, 5.9 L gasoline truck by temporarily installing a known bad (discharged) battery. After confirming that the bad battery wouldn't even turn over the truck engine, I set up the jump starter, and after pressing the little reset button on the connector itself (which then changed the color of the LED), the truck started right up on my first attempt!
No idea how long the batteries in this unit will keep their charge (instructions say to charge every three months to protect battery life), nor how low the unit's charge might be and still start a vehicle (mine still says 100% after starting the truck), but the overall compactness and the included case, charge and USB adapters and the battery jumper cables all seem to be of better than average quality.
I figure that -at worst- this unit may quickly help me by charging and powering my phone in order to call for more help!
Ended up buying five units as Christmas gifts for each of the family cars. PS: The only photo I uploaded was of the dim headlight when I was making sure the truck's battery was "too dead to start the engine".

They Don't Want You To Use The Warranty

They make it very difficult to use their warranty. I bought this in September 2018, less than a year ago. In that time I have used it maybe 8 times with really no problems. I had fully charged it 2 days ago. This morning I realized that I left my cars interior lights on so the battery was dead. I hooked up the Beatit and the voltage went from 100% to 86%. When I went to start my car, it cranked twice and nothing. When I went to check the Beatit, it said 1%. I charged the Beatit again and tried to start my car. Same thing with the Beatit voltage again. Cranked a couple times and then 1% again. I finally called my friend with a similiar portable battery jumper and his started my car with no problem and the voltage on his charger was at 30 something %. I contacted Beatit through their Facebook page. First they told me to try another car but how am I going to find another car with dead battery? Then they said my battery was bad. I told them that this battery is less than 6 months old and this is the first time I had left my interior light on. After I told them that, they wanted me to make a video of the problem. 1.where am I going to find another car to try it on and they want me to make a video? 2. This battery is less than a year old. Do they think I want to waste my time trying to scam them out of a new battery. Who wants to go through all this trouble to use their warranty if the Beatit is still working? Do they think I just woke up this morning and say, okay I want to replace the Beatit that's working with another one? That's probably the reason that the Beatit only has a couple hundred reviews while the other one on Amazon has a couple thousand. I told them that I don't have time to try another car and video it and have received no response since. BUYER BEWARE!!!

Didn't work when I needed it

Bought and tried using twice in less than a year. Have kept it charged, but even the LED light won't come on. Both times tried using, was when I really needed it. Supposed to have a 2 year warranty but can't get ahold of a customer service contact.
Update- received a replacement from customer service and have yet to try it.

Fully charged and wouldn't start the vehicle

Update: Giving it an additional two stars as I tried this on another car and it worked well. If my pickup battery gets low again I'll try it on that again.

I purchased this item to avoid having to jump start my pickup. It isn't often used, and in Arizona the heat helps drain the battery faster. In the past I always had to put the battery charger on for awhile or get another car to jump start the truck if it was needed. I had borrowed a family member's jump pack (different brand) and found it extremely convenient, so I was looking to have one to carry around for the truck. I purchased this one because it advertised that it could start a vehicle up to 7.5L (my truck is a 5.3L, non-diesel), and the Beatit unit was about half the price of the one I had borrowed.

After receiving it I fully charged it, then set it aside for a week or so until I needed the truck. At the time the pack registered at 96% of a possible 100% charge. I first got in the truck and tried the key. It gave the typical clicking sound that indicates the battery was too low to turn the engine over. I hooked up the Beatit and figured it would crank right up. Sadly, that was incorrect. After multiple attempts, including leaving it hooked up for 30+ minutes and re-positioning the cables, making sure I had followed the instructions, the truck was no closer to starting than the first try.

Luckily I was not in an emergency situation, as the truck was sitting in my driveway and not out on the freeway in 106+ degree weather. At this point I can't return it, so it looks like it might be worth using only to charge a cellphone - but I haven't tried that and don't know if it would work either. I'm extremely disappointed in this product and won't be purchasing anything else produced by this company.

Yes, it was lightweight, yes it was easy to use - assuming it worked for the purpose it was advertised. No, it was not even remotely a good value for the money.

So i bought this unit on December 2017, I can't really say its a bad product because it has been good to me until now. Its funny how i've used it to help so many people throught the years snd last night I had to use it on my own car to my surprise it was flat out discharged.

I tend to keep it fully charged once it gets to 20-40%. I noticed that its swelling up and because of that I decided to look up if anybody was having this issue, sadly i've ran into so many bad reviews it and i'm shocked at the exploding part.

I am by no means unhappy with it, it served me well until last night, I think I got good use out of it without any hazards.

0n/off switch trouble after 2 years

It was great for 2 years but now trouble with the on off switch. Switch operation is intermittent some times it works most times it doesn’t. No rhyme or reason sometimes it helps to cycle the switch. Sometimes it will come on after being switched on 20 minutes later. I am back on amazon looking for another and it will be a newer beatit model.

Didnt hold a charge anymore after 18 months and 5 recharges. It didnt seem like it stored that well. Not sure how long it should last but. Just storing it wore it out.

Hard to use with no charger

The unit appears to be very powerful but since I did not receive a charger it is difficult to evaluate. I figure out how to charge it with my charger through the jumper connections. works fine but the light does not work at all and I tried to get the free compressor but could not get to the website to ask for one and no one seems to care. So how do I get my free compressor and my missing charger>
