Compact, powerful 18 Ah unit.

Haven't needed to use this portable jump starter for a real emergency yet... but I tested the emergency battery jump starter on my 8 cyl, 5.9 L gasoline truck by temporarily installing a known bad (discharged) battery. After confirming that the bad battery wouldn't even turn over the truck engine, I set up the jump starter, and after pressing the little reset button on the connector itself (which then changed the color of the LED), the truck started right up on my first attempt!
No idea how long the batteries in this unit will keep their charge (instructions say to charge every three months to protect battery life), nor how low the unit's charge might be and still start a vehicle (mine still says 100% after starting the truck), but the overall compactness and the included case, charge and USB adapters and the battery jumper cables all seem to be of better than average quality.
I figure that -at worst- this unit may quickly help me by charging and powering my phone in order to call for more help!
Ended up buying five units as Christmas gifts for each of the family cars. PS: The only photo I uploaded was of the dim headlight when I was making sure the truck's battery was "too dead to start the engine".

They Don't Want You To Use The Warranty

They make it very difficult to use their warranty. I bought this in September 2018, less than a year ago. In that time I have used it maybe 8 times with really no problems. I had fully charged it 2 days ago. This morning I realized that I left my cars interior lights on so the battery was dead. I hooked up the Beatit and the voltage went from 100% to 86%. When I went to start my car, it cranked twice and nothing. When I went to check the Beatit, it said 1%. I charged the Beatit again and tried to start my car. Same thing with the Beatit voltage again. Cranked a couple times and then 1% again. I finally called my friend with a similiar portable battery jumper and his started my car with no problem and the voltage on his charger was at 30 something %. I contacted Beatit through their Facebook page. First they told me to try another car but how am I going to find another car with dead battery? Then they said my battery was bad. I told them that this battery is less than 6 months old and this is the first time I had left my interior light on. After I told them that, they wanted me to make a video of the problem. 1.where am I going to find another car to try it on and they want me to make a video? 2. This battery is less than a year old. Do they think I want to waste my time trying to scam them out of a new battery. Who wants to go through all this trouble to use their warranty if the Beatit is still working? Do they think I just woke up this morning and say, okay I want to replace the Beatit that's working with another one? That's probably the reason that the Beatit only has a couple hundred reviews while the other one on Amazon has a couple thousand. I told them that I don't have time to try another car and video it and have received no response since. BUYER BEWARE!!!

While the Beatit BT-D11 800A Peak 18000mAh 12V Portable Car Jump Starter is elegantly designed visually, mine has been unable to start a small 4 cylinder engine on 3 separate occasions (2 different vehicles). A record of 0 for 3 is enough for me to say it is Garbage! We also have another Portable Jump Start battery that has been able to do the trick on each of these occasions, despite the fact that it is a bit older and smaller. We have both units on a schedule where they get fully charged every quarter. So, the problem was never low charge for the unit. These are supposed to give me piece of mind... This one is just an annoyance that I cannot trust to do its job.
I am going to Dump this HUNK of JUNK, and go back to our Scorpion.
The Beatit BT-D11 800A Peak 18000mAh 12V Portable Car Jump Starter gets 1 of 5 stars because Amazon doesn't allow Zero Stars, and because it is a Pretty Piece of GARBAGE.

I purchased this item back in March 2018 and, after the initial charge, never actually used it until a few weeks ago when I needed to power up my macbook and, noticed it was at 3% energy. I tried recharging it at home and it wont' take a charge. It is stuck in 3%. Can't return it because it is past Amazon's return window.

This worked great the few times I used it. I used it to jump start batteries a few times and to charge mobile devices a few times. I loved it! But today, I pulled it out of the trunk and charged it up and discovered the on/off switch doesn't work anymore. When I turn it on, nothing happens.

Intially, it was great but didn't last very long. If something of this nature doesn't last 2 years with extremely light use, I'm going to deem it garbage.

Seemed to work well until I let it sit for two weeks and then it would Not Power On. I connected it to its charger and that seemed to wake it up because it showed 94% charged. If I don't connect it every so often to the charger, (every week or so), it basically becomes a shiny plastic brick no matter how many times I turn it on and off. So much for carrying it in the car for emergency charging. Useless, AND no warranty return information to be found anywhere. Thanks Amazon...

I can't get this to charge my car battery. The directions are written in Japanese-English. Neither my wife nor I can interpret them.
So far, a disappointment and a waste of time and money.

It may be fine in warm weather, but at -15 or 0 degrees F, it failed to start 3 cars, two of which are small 4 cylinder engine type cars. It just didn't have enough juice. Charged to 100% for all 3 cars. Very very disappointed.

Ordered this product because of the good reviews for emergency use. Followed the instructions and kept it in my car for emergencies. First time I needed it, it failed to jump my small car off even though the battery stated 100%. Tried to use it a second time to jump off a two seater golf cart and it wouldn't jump that off from 100% either. Hate it is too late to return because this is simply a waste of funds and space. Maybe it was just a lemon but I couldn't get the company on the phone after the first failure.

Stopped working after 2 uses

After using this only 2 times it stopped working. I went to charge it for next use, it charged ok for 5 minutes then all of a sudden it had a burnt smell coming from it . The charge screen went blank and now nothing. It is a use and then dispose item. Do not waste your money on this.

Literally used 2 times to jump a car and to charge several phones. Charger/jumper is now dead as a door nail, display is rotating characters, no power. Unit always charged fully periodically, however, that did not prevent unit from stopping to work. Would not recommend.
