Fun story; terrible editing
Reviewed in the United States on October 23, 2020
This is the second book set of Archers' Stories. It is about a person who began as a slave, and rose to control his own army (navy) of Archers, in England. He has a group of ships based in England that he has basically pirated from other people, and hauls refugees away from hotspots around the Mediterranean, caused by Crusader wars and such, as well as other cargoes and letters of credit. It's a fun, light series of stories. I knocked it down one star because the editing is so bad, it really slows down the reading speed as you try to negotiate missing articles, singular/plural mix-ups, changes in tense and other grammatical gaffs. It's almost as if the book was not edited at all, or done by someone not familiar with the English language.
