I have a Ford Edge, black leather seats. Very easy to install. It takes a little bit of effort to tighten the strap. When I did tighten it, the end of the strap was hanging and there wasn’t a loop to help it stay in place. So I just placed it in the seat pocket. I do like the little rubber grips on the back of the seat cover. It doesn’t slip at all! The head part looks as if it’s not fitted, but I don’t care too much about that. There is a strong chemical smell. I’m leaving the windows open so I’m hoping it gets aired out soon. I would recommend the product.
This is a durable seat cover and is perfect for people who have been to the gym or for pets to ride on. One thing that could be improved is the number of straps to secure it. I purchased the shirt stays (military style) to secure the back and the top of the seat and at the base of the seat near the seat belts. Otherwise, it just curls and shifts around. I do like the fabric and durability.
Good product, but could be better. It is easy to install in the vehicle because of it's single piece design. However, it needs improvements in order to fit well in multiple vehicles.
We have 2 of these covers in our 2017 Toyota Sienna XLE. They do not slide and are comfortable to sit on.
However, the edges near the headrest cover tend to fold upwards, and as a result do not mold well with the seat. As there are no straps to tether to the seat back, I don't see how we can get the seat cover to stay flush.
Secondly, there is no way to fasten the bottom of the seat cover so it just hangs freely.
We are yet to wash the covers, so can't comment on longevity or stiffness/comfort retention.
Installed in about 30 minutes, straps are okay but not really adjustable for the proper tension based on your seat style. It is a a multi fit seat cover. Had to make adjustments for the seat belt receiver area. You will have to get on the floor of your car and reach underneath the seat to attach the short front loop straps that are there to hold the front down. I got two S hooks out of my tool box and use those to hook to the seat bottom. There is a TIGHT strap under the butt area but my seat is 10" deep from bolster to bottom and there was no way to slide it over or around so pretty useless. With just a few well thought out tweaks this seat cover could be golden. Don't get me wrong I like it a lot but it is an 8.5 out of 10 and it could be a 10 out of 10. Made of the same thing as a wet suit, heavy duty stuff, but if you do as you should and wash it even once a month it will require uninstall and install every time!! Just a thought! It is meant to absorb sweat after the gym, golf, etc. so it does that but there is stink that comes with that and the summer heat!!! I like it and I think you will too, it was the perfect idea for what I needed. Thanks! ADDED after 2 weeks of ownership: It is black so here in FL it gets hot sitting in the sun while your car is parked! Not bad but warmer than the seat would be! My cloths smell like the rubber when I take them off after sitting in the seat. Didn't realize it until I pulled my shirt off over my head and smelled it, so I went further and sure enough your cloths will smell like rubber, the longer you ride the more the smell. I still like it but as my title said and my previous notes it works but could be so much better. Thanks!
Just received and installed. Took about 2 minutes. Product is simple and will probably do the job of protecting my leather driver's seat brown finish (Ford F-150 King Ranch). I wear heavy slacks made of tough fabric (Tactical 5.11) which are causing wear spots in the leather. My only complaint is the fit of the headrest. The King Ranch headrest is fat. The product is intended for a thinner version common on imports and smaller cars. Maybe It will work OK. If not, I can cut it up and tie it around the headrest supports. Would be nice if the product headrest was stretchy, maybe with an elastic seam down the back of each side? That would look much better and also provide a more secure top fastening. Product seams appear to be very durably sown.
Update: I partially solved the fat headrest problem by removing the worthless skinny seat cover headrest pocket from the truck's headrest and punching 2 holes in the top of the cover. I popped the headrest out of the seat back, then pulled the cover up a little and flipped the headrest pocket over the back of the seat. Then I jammed the headrest posts thru the new cover holes back into their seat mounts. I located the holes just below the top seam for strength. Works OK so far....but looks dumb. but it works
It's a bit premature to review this product, but so far, it has been fine. It's easy to install and sure beats the towels I had on my seat! Black, leather seats in NC summer are hot and though this is black, it doesn't seem to hold the heat like the leather did, so that's good. I can't speak to what others have experienced with damage to their seat fabric. It hasn't been long enough. Installation was easy, the fit is good and it stays in place and keeps sweat under control. The selling point for me was the added seat belt guard, but I wish there were two of those-one for the shoulder, one for the lap!
Four stars only because it hasn't been long enough and the chemical smell was pretty strong at first.
As a veteran auto buff ,lots of cars miles ,years and parts .I really like this cover , “custom” covers are often hard to fit ,not the right color and expensive . I like that this is more of an apron, there’s really no need to worry about the seat sides, this product comes on and of in seconds, I can’t give it 5 stars as I’ve just installed it, I can’t vouch for durability...yet . It appears to be a well made , durable , super easy to install and it is a great looking cover. 5 stars are forthcoming.
I installed my new covers yesterday, and they look very nice. I did have to lower the headrest, to the lowest setting in order for the covers to fit properly; I do like the headrest to sit higher, so this was a design flaw I'm my opinion The top strap sits about six inches, or so from the headrest but isn't adjustable, and seems kind of flimsy. The bottom strap is adjustable, and I was able to make it nice, and snug. The covers are good, and wide, and cover my 2018 Toyota Camry front seats well. The instructions, though not really necessary, are basic, and don't really offer any kind of directions to follow. I have know clue where to attach the two bottom straps It would've been nice if the company offered more color options? We shall see how they hold up.
I get extremely sweaty after playing tennis and I was very tired of using towels to protect my car seats and constantly having to wash the towels each time. This seat protector absorbs all of the moisture and is very easy to dry out, however I have found it necessary to remove the seat protector from the car to get it to dry out quickly. The seat protector stays in place and does not slide which makes it easy to get in and out of the car. There is a connecting belt to hold the protector in place but I do not use it so that I can easily remove the protector to dry it out. The materials appear to be of very fine quality and the craftsmanship is also first class. I am very happy with this car seat protector and would recommend it.
I purchased 2 of these for my car's cloth seats & they are so great I ordered 2, the same week, for my SUVs leather seats. The great is they are so easy to install & very soft neoprene that looks nice! The additional neck protector for upper seatbelt is comfortable. The cover slides easily over the head rest, mine are adjustable & no issues fitting. The purpose of purchase was to protect the seats from my husband who is a truck driver.. he is often covered in dirt, oil & occasionally diesel fuel. I'm very pleased with the quality. The only downside so far is animal hair sticks like mad to the material. Keep this in mind if you have pets that travel with you.. I simply decided to leave a small lint roller if needed in my vehicle consoles.
