Not at all "water resistant"
Reviewed in the United States on June 20, 2019
I was excited about the versatility of this bag, which was a main part of why I purchased it. I wanted something that I could convert from a one-strap shoulder bag to a two strap backpack-style bag ( which works out better for when I'm commuting by bike). I was also excited about the "water resistant" feature, which was another selling point for me. I've only had the bag a few days, and was satisfied with the ease of converting the straps and the overall sturdiness of the bag. However, on my way home from work today, I happened to get caught in a brief but strong downpour of rain during the 2 city blocks from the train station to my house. When I arrived home, I found the entire contents of my bag to be completely soaked despite having an umbrella open and over me during that walk. I had to towel off multiple electronics (all stored in the inside compartment and inner pocket) and currently have them airing out to finish drying. My gym sneakers (which I didn't use today but were in the bag) are currently also air-drying, along with some important papers (which are basically ruined now). I'd like to give this bag 4 or 5 stars but the extent of the damage resulting from the very clear false advertisement of "water resistant" in this case takes it down to 2 stars, unfortunately.
